That's the worst part of this . Rock loves wwe so much he can't even bring the title everywhere and big up mania If he wanted to be champ get in wrestling shape get some cardio and take it serious instead he's really just trying to promote his movie career

I think the reality is obvious at this point, the dude was told by his PR people his acting career was struggling.

Coming back to the E would endear him to 4 million fans, so he comes back and it's nothing more than cross promotion.

Like you said, dude goes on late night shows and doesn't even mention WWE or WM but he sure reminds them about GI Joe/Snitch etc...

It's a good business relationship, and it's good marketing but it's not good entertainment for wrestling fans

Rock is the CEO of Team Rock, creating reality shows, is lined up for like 7 or 8 movies on deck, and his very presence at WM 27 did bigger numbers than "great wrestling matches" like Michaels vs Taker over the last two years. The Rock is a whole different level to what you think of him as.

They care more about bringing in the Bellas as money to waste, they care more about squashing Wade Barrett and making sure Cesaro doesn't wrestle on the big stage after showing great workrate ALL YEAR, they care more about doing "revenge" matches to make themselves look good instead of giving another wrestler a rub.

It's not even so much about the numbers as them being terrible movies.

He was literally becoming a kids movie actor, I think most of can agree his career seriously tapered off. He was getting 3rd or 4th character roles and the movies where he was the lead (Faster) did garbage.

The Marine did $18m and Faster did $22m, think about that shyt honestly. 99% of this board would tell you Marina was an absolute complete failure.

Other Guys and Get Smart weren't even his movies, dude was the 3rd actor in those and they weren't being sold off the Rock. Other guys was Farrel/Wahlberg and Get Smart was Carrel.

Faster was his movie and that shyt was a complete failure in every way.

He was clearly getting 3rd character roles, he wasn't the star of them films. He was the star of Faster and Journey, but Journey came post WWE return, while Faster did Marine numbers and was a complete failure
