The heavily connected real estate agents will last. The ones on your social media timeline telling you to message them if you’re looking to buy a house will fade out.

This.

i used to be an agent and had my license but quit a while back. A good /connected agent will find you the off market deals before they hit the mls ...they are also connected to developers and handle new construction. Those developers don’t want to deal with the selling process so they will always have agents

a greet agent can also work to get the price down usually this happens through the inspection process

but the industry is super saturated especially with Pretty bartenders and bottle girls needing a hustle since night life is dead

Real estate agent market heavily saturated. And no offense to any agents on here, but what do you really do to warrant such high commission rates?

Is there a big difference in work effort in selling a $300000 vs $1000000 house?

I'm a proponent of flat fee payment for real estate services :yeshrug:
Giving proper advice and looking out for your clients best interests.

In a perfect world there would be no need for real estate people. If buyers and sellers could speak rationally and act logically there would never have been a profession created. However people can be deceitful, stubborn, self sabotaging, greedy and treacherous. You need someone advocating for you if you don’t know how for yourself or don’t have the time.
With the advancement in tech real estate agents will get less business no doubt but I don’t think the industry will fully die out.

discrimination is what makes it where people dont care to remove the human aspect, look at uber. Taxi drivers being racist did it to themselves. Look at store pick up vs browsing to find items. I can eliminate being followed around stores now, and so on.

I love it too. It’s the ultimate fuk you. Cabs can keep crying too. Fuk them. Especially mid town Manhattan. Even if uber is more expensive in the city, at least I can plan to actually get somewhere on time.

That’s the point your pivoted to. :heh:

Your original point was that automation couldn’t do it. That’s why you listed a bunch of other stuff that automation couldn’t handle. Stuff that required a human touch. All your talk on cost is pure conjecture. You have no idea how they plan to bring this to market.

You're cherry picking 1 aspect out of 8 I said, cause it seems like thats the only one you can argue the point on. You can't argue the others, so you're hammering on this one. Plus the fact that a service that shows updated housing prices for consumers will be expensive is not an "advantage" for consumers. Not a good debating strategy breh :mjlol:

If this is true, holy shyt.

Zillow has my home value inflated by about $80k over what the appraiser said last year.

This could be a hell of a come up for some people.
My first crib like value 44k over what I paid for it. :wow:

I agree with the others. That one didn’t make any sense. Which is why I pointed it out.

Instead of admitting it made no sense, you tried to move the goalposts.

Especially those that specializes in luxury markets.

Premise of the thread is Real Estate agents aren't needed because of Automation

So paying for an expensive automated service to look at updated accurate housing prices is an advantage for a Consumer? Interesting :ehh:
