#GIANTS #KNICKS #RANGERS
5 years ago after a night of fukkery (weed, booze and p*ssy) I get off the 2 train on 125th and Lennox I see 2 cac couples just walking and laughing without a care in the world. It dawned on me that it was a time they would've shyt their pants to be there at 4 am.

Spike Lee and others where right to bring up gentrification but where met with being called a racist by the jews and c00ns. The movie Who's The Man, Nick the Barber was fighting against gentrification in Harlem.

Charles Rangle sold us the fukk out by helping these interlopers out. There was a nice little garden garden on 124th street on Lexington Ave with a beautiful mural of black kids playing you can see that mural in the opining credits of the Halle Berry movie Strictly Business. The mural was torn down for the supermarket chain PathMark. Now PathMark has gone out of business you know what's going to take it's place. Condominiums.

Even the post office on 124th street has moved down the block to make way for the condo's. Most of us don't want this but c00ns and old people kept electing Rangle who never fought for us. The same Rangle who said the same thing about Adam Clayton Powell.

:dead: i swear on everything i had the same experience at the train station on 125th. I couldn't believe that shyt, i was saying to myself don't these motherfukkkas know they "food" out here.

i remember after clinton left office in 00 and setup shop on 125th in that bug building. alot of black folks didn't either, they just excited and happy the former president was in a black setting. i was a youngin at the time, I didn't understand it nor paid attention to it like that. An old head told me, watch him bring all his rich and political friends out here. "dem crakkas up to no good im telling you". fast forward 16 years later :wow:

Dallas, Texas but living in Houston, Texas
it's TOO LATE mane :francis:

i just spent the weekend travelin thru charleston , savannah and jacksonville... cause im seeking to purchase property

it's a gottdamn shame cause i loved living in the city limits when i was a freelance writer..but now i have to seek places way out in the suburbs aka "the country" like 30 miles out just to find something affordable for me and my family

and spots i use to know where you could get a two bedroom apartment for like 625 a month are now like 1,200 a month ....

particularly in downtown savannah....the home of "camoflauge" and the place where gucci mane first got put on ....

matter of fact Pure Pain studios the original home of camo and gucci is in the midst of a serious urban renewal...

because of that high end Art College there....where one semaster is like 20gs......

all those students are being catered to by the former slumlords who are now hiking up prices to capitilize on the out of state and forigen exchange students

i had a conversation with a lovely old black libarian who was like a mentor to me when i was at Savannah State.....

and she commented how they are shutting down all the rooming houses which were good places for those in transition, laborers, or people whom couldn't find affordable shelter of thier own....

turning these mofos into condos one by one....

and all the good black owned soul food spots are being replaced by smoothie and bike shops all for the students and tourists

a nicca can't even get a nice tapeup for your fade anymore...cause the barbershops can't afford the rent.......

i use to be able to go to downtown savannah and get a nice meal under 7 dollars....

from one of the diners or Krystal fast food restaurant...

now you got 5 star restaurants all over the place some with valet parking...

everything is so corporate and alternative to what was considered "urban" (black)

cameras on every street light...

so it's the same shyt different toilet

black folks HAD the opportunity to empower themselves politically and economically but failed to do so

savannah had more dope kingpins per capita than any other city in that area ..

Cause them cats sat on i-95 and had the port..so they had the import and the means to export with traffic coming daily..

yet none of these niccas took advantage of assimilating that "wealth" into legal means..like them italians and jews do

i remember the Miami Boyz tried to set up shop during the late 80s and got ran the fukk out

the jamaicans came in the 90's and got shot da fukk up

yet

....a bunch of hipster white folks with no GUNS..can come and rape an entire district cause NICCAS DON'T WORK AS A COLLECTIVE :stopitslime:

and the irony of the situation is that the hipster art college i spoke of was actually started by money financed by a major GUN RUNNER who was WHITE

:mjcry:

we ain't cursed...i think we just RETARDED

Chicago poster here, for you New York people, where do all the black people live at in New York? I thought black people lived in Harlem, and Queens. I've read that Brooklyn got gentrified, but ok fine, where did all the black people that used to live in Brooklyn go? I know manhattan is for super rich, so race is out the discussion. Even if an area is gentrified, black people don't disappear. Where do they live now?

I think Central Harlem (the most famous part of Harlem) is still majority black. I believe Latinos make up a plurality in West Harlem (Manhattanville, Hamilton Heights and, depending on who you ask, Morningside Heights) and East Harlem ("Spanish Harlem")

There are still many majority black areas in Brooklyn (Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brownsville, Crown Heights, East New York, Flatbush)

This is bound to happen in nearly every section of New York,
Its is becoming the playground of the ultra-rich, and it's incredibly unfortunate. Look at the San Jose, CA area. When it becomes impossible to live in the city without making at least 50k a year, gentrification becomes an unstoppable force.

Cacs bite and steal everything..they literally have no limits to their plundering and theft.
Black people need to take this L, move on and learn from it though I doubt that will happen.
People moving away should concentrate themselves and establish new communities and keep a firm grip on them, cause sooner or later the cacs will come calling. They'll simply get sick and tired and living in a cultureless society and want to see what the Blacks are up to.

EXACTLY..im in the south right now

there is this MYTH that blacks in the south are more practical with money

BULLSHYT....THESE COUNTRY AZZ HOES will empty out thier checking account for MICHEAL KORS BAGS.....EXOTIC WEAVE...AND TOP SHELF LIQUOR....

IT'S EVERYWHERE....WE ALL FUKKED UP....

personal accountability with our finances is one of BLACK FOLKS worst enemy..

and it's gotten worst with this generation

this whole FUKK A CHECK up menality is dumb as fukk...

cause its coming from cats who have NO OTHER revenue to suppliment that check they fukked up

I've tried telling my last two exes to be more resourceful with the money..even when it came to me...

all the fukking gifts...and impulsive shopping wasn't good..

and now it's caught up to both of them......

its like they don't fukking care....

i was eating dinner with her one evening and asked her how is she doing with that new credit card she got...

and she just started laughing......

it was obvious that the byatch had already MAXED THE CARD OUT and only had it a week :snoop:

the other ex me and her would go on a vacation trip....and before we even got to the destination she hollering we broke

cause the byatch had to go to every shoe store and flea market along the way...

needless to say I CUT OFF BOTH THOSE BYATCHES :camby:

one of them had gotten evicted from her "luxury" apartment and is now living in a trailer park i heard

and the other one has moved in with her mama

but they ain't wanna listen to me :manny:

act like im being condescending or arrogant.....

look who's the a$$hole NOW... :russ:

cause both of them are fukked

and that's not to say im proud of that

i really wanted us to come together and build......i helped both of them all i could....

the first ex bought her a fukking car that she couldn't afford the insurance on later down the line

and the other started a business for the both of us.. this byatch fell back on it..cause she didn't like the idea of working for me :mjpls:

WE CAN'T HAVE SHYT AS A COLLECTIVE...NOW I DO IT DOLO....
What kind of work do you have? I willing to work for you.

We DESERVE IT....

HARLEM NEGROES spent more time wasting thier money on DAPPER DAN CLOTHES..CHINATOWN JEWLERY AND LUXURY WHIPS all for the sake of GETTING FLY....

INSTEAD OF EMPOWERING THEMSELVES POLITICALLY AND OWNING PROPERTY....

I KNEW IT WAS A WRAP WHEN WE LOST TO THE STATE OF NEW YORK IN 1991

AND WBLS BEING SOLD TO EMMIS BROADCASTING was the Nail in the coffin :mjcry:

When exactly were blacks supposed to be getting it together? You sound white. Every generation that tried was totally assaulted and marginalized. Do your history.

people were buying dapper dan in the middle of the crack epidemic with no financial education and most people who were getting money then were teenagers. Rich and Po for example were 16 and 17 years old.

Blacks have been hit with wave after wave of bullshyt... the closest we ever got to being able to liberate ourselves was the 60's-70's and the financial opportunities were not there whatsoever. The consciousness was growing but then they wiped out everyone who was trying to provide us with a group mentality. They literally killed them...

In the 80's dudes were making money at the expense of everything else. the consciousness was absent so it didnt matter to the gov't because a man with money and no mind is harmless. It's not our fault at all.

The Crack Epidemic is very understated in it's damage of the black psyche, home structure and values.

Ya'll dudes need to deal with reality.

went to NY for a mini vacation with the fam, i was staying at an airbnb on 113th and Frederick Douglass all last week.

and we rented from a black couple. the area was not overrun by cacs, but i kid you not the first thing in the morning we go for coffee two blocks north to that Fredericks joint..and its like these places are a cac oasis they don't belong there in any way shape or form. Nice enough service, but it was a weird feeling, and the amount of cacs out walking their dogs and jogging, my face was :francis:, wife was :stopitslime:.

We get our coffee and walk to Central Park and this cac hipster girl asks us if we'd be interested in a nanny for our boy (he's 21 months old), i'm like :mjpls:no thank you.

It was just a bunch of little mini situations that didn't sit right.

Frederick Douglass Blvd from 110th-125th has become quite gentrified, with a lot of new condos and restaurants opening up

I always see lots of white women around there pushing strollers :mjpls:

The greatest white presence in Harlem seems to be between Frederick Douglass Blvd and Morningside Park, south of 125th. But with a Whole Foods opening at 125th and Lenox, I expect more and more white people to move into the eastern and northern parts. I think Spanish Harlem will be the last to gentrify due to the high density of projects.

Aside from white people living there, Harlem is also becoming more a "destination" for people outside the neighborhood looking to see something new. Walk past any of the trendy new restaurants (like Red Rooster), and you'll see a bunch of white people inside
