TUH my dude this thread is slippery from the start. You can't possibly say "I'm not racist because my and this guy's races are vaguely the same in some genetic history way." So what? A Brit can be racist against an irishman even if they're basically mixtures of the same people

I'm not saying your OG statement was offensive but you've linked the two issues together here and I'm talking about the race/racism issue

First, the statement I made was not racist. No objective person can come to such a conclusion. Him calling me racist is like what TLOL does, calling everyone anti-semetic because they have an issue with Israel.

Second, they ARE the same race. There CAN be discrimination based on skin tone, nationality, etc.. That is true. That isn't racism. At the end of the day, the Arabs and Jews are genetic kins relatively speaking, and the only thing that separates them are religions and language.

As far as the substance of what I said, race as a taxanomical designator is obsolete. So while Israelis, Arabs, Persians, and Indians are perhaps more closely biologically related than other groups, they are not part of the same "race" persay, as we sociologically understand racial groups, which is the place that race matters most. Somali's are the same "race" as Ethiopians, but we are certainly not the same people.
