In another 10 years people going to talk about the population booms in the Midwest
Because of climate change?
In another 10 years people going to talk about the population booms in the Midwest
But is that a decline because of people leaving on their own or because of gentrification?
Before gentrification there were areas with low income housing with high population density, then once gentrified population density decreased.
Is that possible why?
Its not just that. Those are economically depressed areas and neither party offers a solution, so one party gives racism, guns and religion and the other says HYON.The Rust Belt is dead. That's why Ohio went from purple to deep red over the past two decades and why Wisconsin and maybe Michigan will follow.
The brain drain is crazy. You pretty much have to move to make real money if you are a skilled worker.
The Midwest and south is essential to food production, and energythe middle of the country is useless, so is much of the south but at least it's warm. wish we could scoop out everything west of philly to reno and from the canadian border to dallas and make a more compact country that's easier to travel
Climate change, too many people in a handful of states, and anything could happen Detroit Cleveland Milwaukee has potential to be world class cities if people invest into themBecause of climate change?
Take them back? Even before the great migration and with 40-50% populations black people didnt run the south. black people never had these states and outside of all of us moving to just one state, we never will. That’s not how this system worksI say black folk yall come on back down south. We need to start aggregatting anyway. Maybe we can take these southern states back politically.
They couldn't vote then. Now Blacks can. It'd be different.Take them back? Black people could vote in the 10’s-70’s when the great migration was taking place (when they still represented 30-50% of the population in many Southern states) , and they are still suppressing the vote and gerrymandering districts to invalidate the black vote to this day. They couldn't vote then.
