The software built in to TV’s are slow a buggy and the content streamed to it isn’t all in full 4K like it is using an external device. It’s going to take some time for non Amazon tv manufacturers to catch up to a seamless built in all in 1 experience unless you are spending Samsung frame or lg mirror money.

Eventually we'll get back to dum TV's. Biggest issue I have is the smart tvs have underpowered hardware to begin with. So the UI is slow or doesnt get regular updates.

Vizio Oled hang here, as a dude who has done some street shut over the years I wonder what you guys are afraid of? TV getting hacked? You got credit card info in your TV? (No)

If you have something to protect that you're afraid could be compromised? You pay to have it protected. You doing it yourself means you're ahead of the game... but it's a game. And the game doesn't apply to everybody. I'll just leave it at that, carry on however everyone...

I can't speak for other brands but Vizio started off like what you're saying but it gets regularly updated and now is fast and responsive.

Who told you Vizio didn't have a Quality OLED? The Coli?
Just do 22seconds of research on THAT EXACT SUBJECT and get back to me
Experts say its on par with LG and better than Samsung's OLED but I'm aware that doesn't fit with the coli narrative
LG only has the best OLED in the US but there's always been a better OLED in europe that you could have shipped

I never hear anyone speak on that while paying extra to have a better lauch day UI/etc. Picture quality was always neck n neck.
Yes the connectibvity was a lil sus the first 8months or so but now evertyhing is buttery smooth.

"jailbreaking" originally meant rooting a device but most people use that term now to simply describe sideloading apps outside the official app store on the device.

the benefit is installing apps not available in the amazon app store.
