Coming at it from a spiritual approach...Trump, is the manifestation of our collective "shadow"...every thing ugly about us, as a nation is embodied in our leader and is being put on the table for us to confront. The racism, the celebrity worship, the greed, the broken political system...this is collective, "shadow work" that we are doing here.
Hillary would undoubtedly be a BETTER president. But Trump, like some people understood is a wrecking ball. Every outlandish statement and decision he makes is inadvertently peeling back the layers our own ugliness. I don't even 'hate' Hillary like that because politics for the most part is just a shell game anyway. But she would have just kept things business as usual.
And while I really don't want to sacrifice the potential lives lost or endure the emotional turmoil that a Trump presidency creates...human beings usually are only provoked to do the right thing, for the wrong reasons. When tragedy strikes all the race and politics shyt is thrown out the window. We don't have to wait until the shyt hits the fan to treat each other right..but if that''s what it's going to take, that's what it's going to have to be.

It's not about "more" racism though. I don't think the racism has increased, it's just being brought to the forefront of the collective conciousness where as before it was subverted.
If you've ever had a tooth ache, the shyt doesn't start aching when the problem occurs. The tooth doesn't start hitting the alarm with painful symptoms until things are too bad to be ignored.
So despite everything in this country feeling and looking less divided and racist...these symptoms are letting us know there is still healing that needs to take place. You can certainly make a case that while nobody likes painful symptoms arising to the forefront of their consciousness, without it, things would continue to fester and infect.
This Trump presidency has made the undertones of racism harder to ignore. Doesn't feel good in the now, but it's necessary.

I can’t even ague with the OP. it’s a valid point and an accurate description of what’s going on.
Doesn’t mean i enjoy the current state of affairs, because i don’t. and i’m sure the folks on the front lines who have to deal with the open racism hate it too.
but the sickness of amerikkka is being put on blast due to dotard trump (and it’s nothing to thank him for) forcing people to have to confront it rather than ignore it like they’ve been doing for so long.

I'm not sure where people are getting the notion that Hilary would be equally as bad. I don't see her doing racist things in a covert matter. It would not have been politically feasible and she's smart enough to know that. Unlike Trump who is currently reversing all of the criminal justice reform Obama did which proportionally effect black people, she would have been forced to continue it because it had bipartisan support and it was politically necessary.
Would she have done anything for black people? No. But I don't see her shytting on minorities the way Trump does. Do I think she would have been a good President? No. But I don't think she would have been a bad one either. And unlike Trump, she isn't a divisive, ignorant figure and she would have the temperant to be President.
There's no way anyone with a straight face would say Clinton would be just as bad right now. That's just factually not true based on moral principles and professionalism alone.
