That was after jay deaded cam from the vp slot.When cam and the dips came to the roc they tried to be cool with jay but he wouldn't fukk with cam at all.

I'm not saying its all jay's fault cam could've been a little more humble but c'mon we know cam and the dips.

Jay had a right to feel like he got excluded from shyt he was usually a part of, but Hov never did a lot of the behind the scenes stuff. Hov wasn't out there signing people. He let Dame do all that shyt. Once Hov learned the ins and outs, he realized the way Dame did business wasn't gonna fly long term. That Backstage movie was a precursor to everything because everyone had a problem with Dame whereas Hov just did him.

The Dipset thing was more or less something where Cam tried to play it cool out of respect for Dame, but when Cam wanted to grow, Hov didn't care for that shyt, so when Dame and Hov fell out, Cam wasn't gonna be PC about shyt.

Jay-Z was an executive producer on every Roc-A-Fella related album until Diplomatic Immunity. The credit on that went to Cam and Jim (and that continued for the Diplomat releases on Roc-A-Fella after that)

Looking back on it, almost 10 years later, Hov did the right thing (as did Cam, cuz it's not like he extends an olive branch to Dame to eat off Dipset), but it's one of those things where people question why Hov would have a problem with Dame when Dame's always had that kind of a$$hole personality (and that shyt helped get Hov to where he is).

Also what I don't understand is why dame and cam never tried to do business as a team after that since they so cool they could have started something new plus dame still had the roc name I think...at the time remember they split the roster down the middle
