As weird as it sounds when i hear a sample with prominent drums i always try to find drumsounds that have 'similarities' with the drums in the sample. Takes some time but can make it work.

i like digging for and sampling from vinyl. i love the guesswork, not knowing wtf youre taking home until you listen

i probably sampled from digital like 4 or 5 times in my life, not counting timed contests where i really dont have a choice

I need to go to a record store and find some samples. It's so annoying when you have a dope sample but the drums are too prominent in it.

i understand cause it takes away from your creative possibilites when adding your own drums

if you think inclusively about the drums instead of them being in the way you can really come up with some ill shyt...especially with chopping

No Father To MY Style.. A Son Unique
My fav digging session came when i was sampling i believe some isaac hayes and the record was filthy and shyt was skipping into perfect loops. Itd play the same loop over n over gor 4 beats then play a diff part for 4 beats. It kept going back n forth for ten straight minutes It was incredible how it did that. Ima uploaf it on here. I cLlsd it a mind of its own cause it literally sampled itself

That was a sick day chillin with my dude. The one crate dig ill mever forget. Mad weed. Made 5 beats that day and samples making beats for me. Was lovely
