Something about is his death felt metaphorical and ironic given the conversation between BT, CC, Chris Partlowe, Method Man about how pimps are almost left out now that they've opened the parlor. They still get paid but they weren't allowed to hang out at the parlor, one of CC's hoes left him through the help of Abby, Candy is pretty much on her way out of hoeing and getting into movies and besides that, Candy didn't have a pimp anyways.

Just feels like we're going to see a lessening of importance of Pimps in the sex trade industry with women gaining more power (and income) in regards to this show and this episode showed that. Very good EP.


It's a shame more people don't watch this show. This thread feels dead in comparison to some other shows. This is being slept on just like The Wire was.

It's crazy but it really took the Wire until season 4 to really gain a cult like following. Before then the ratings sucked.


Fortunately HBO values good art and keeps things going.


This show is too good to be only 26 pages through half the season. There's almost no one talking about this on my social media feeds or in real life.

I was surprised to see Reggie (Black Thought) get taken out. I thought he was gonna be the Amsterdam reporters source? Thought did well. He played a "gorilla pimp" to a tee.

I get tight every time a new cop comes in the parlor for a shakedown. And this is my 1st ep figuring out who Ralph Macchio is playing. Never realized he was the plain clothes cop. I know him from the original Karate Kid so I wasn't sure how he aged. I wasn't sure if he was the mobster dude (Rudy?) or his Rob Schneider looking sidekick.Hold up...is that Rob Schneider??
