Yo, I just heard about this show from watching a Method Man interview. I know I’m mad late but I’m gonna start catching up.

Finally caught up, and damn it feels good.

The Deuce has always accurately captured the gritty atmosphere of the streets of New York, but this season it's downright scary. shyt looked like something out of a horror movie, and then when you factor in the looming AIDS and crack epidemic..... :merchant: Crew did a perfect job with this I thought. This season is going to be nasty, and I can already foresee the sad ending montage.

Why are Vincent and Abby still together? Last season it was clear that they weren't a good match for each other....they really trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. :skip:

Simon really got Lombardozzi back, wow. The upcoming fukkery finna be :wow:

Episode was :russell:

that's how Simon's shows are tho. The early episodes set the stage for characters and plots, then midway through we start seeing interactions and developing of plots and visualizing how things may play out, and then the final episodes always end up being :gladbron::whoo::merchant::mjcry::blessed: This is how it's been since The Wire, so I have faith in this ending on a high note.

But I'll say this, I dk if this writing style works in this era anymore because it didn't really work back then with the Wire either.

If people were let down by that premiere, then they must be new to the show. Its been a slow burn ever since the pilot.
