Great episode, I loved the final scene with Vince and Bobby... We're better than this Bobby, but then Bobby's son walks out with the whore and huge grin and Bobby doesn't even flinch like, nah we really ain't.

Also Larry might be my favorite character arc. In season 1 out of the the main pimps, if there was pimp power rankings he was clearly in third behind Cici and Rodney. By the end of season 2 the changes in the game made Cici feel cornered and it got him killed, Rodney turned into a junkie and it got him killed, Larry adjusted, his final scene he was at a legit audition.

Great season. As soon as they mentioned Candy had to go on TV, I knew something bad was going to happen with her son. Her head was in the clouds already thinking about the next porno she would direct, neglecting on what would happen with her family back home. The same with Darlene, she thought she could just work a regular job and have a new life without being recognized. They really showed you the naivety some of these pros and pornstars had in the early days of adult film.

What makes David Simon really stand out is the choices his characters make. Lori's scene at the table when she finds out about CC is a great example.

What area of Manhattan was Paul looking to start the new "theatre"? I remember the agent saying something about this area being cheaper than Chelsea, etc. The place kind of looked like Studio 54. If the show starts back in the mid 80's, Studio 54's heyday was already over.

What a good ep

1. Darlene / larry was really good. Both scenes, the choking and hallway one. You can tell larry changed he aint like the other pimps no more. Let his dyke ex run his pockets last ep. was a happy ending for them two if it end there. Not like they all gon continue working together forever. Larrys a decent human now lol.

2. Meth/ralph macchio. COMEDY.

3. Poor poor candy. Disillusioned . First she gets mad her “man” playing up to his friends like im sure its not easy saying “yea my girl fukks dudes for a living” Kicks him out cause she think she big time now. Realities come home and she ends up where she prolly started at the door yellin for daddy. Poetic.

4. Knew lori was gonna be happy. They tried to duke you like shed care but frankie was funny tryna tell her. The line wiy frankie and the lesbo about if you love something let it go and if it comes back itll be allll fukked up lol.

5. Bobbys right. They next. Black frankie a loose cannon even tho i like him. Big mike cool tho. He hasnt got much show time since the robbery. I hope they dont kill bobby. Hes my favorite character cause of his scowl he gives vince every ep lmao.

In the 80s bytches like that who were on the vanguard in the 70s could turn sour, vain and plastic, and I think if Abby's in S3 it's gon hurt as we see her and Vince go to shyt or 'grow apart' as the skull doctors put it.

I dug the scene with Vince and his ex and it'd be interesting if they do get back together again somehow - and Abby will say "fukk that" even quicker

Remember that convo that Vince had with his pops in the previous episode. He always came home. I think Vince is mentally checking out of dealing with Abby anyways. Both of them messing around, her stealing money....it's a matter of time. Not an if, but when he goes back home.
