classic misdirection...the whole show has us believe that since Frankie fukks up a lot, he'll be gone but he understands the game & the players & can maneuver it and them.

Since they introduced the "Checkov's Gun" of parlors getting firebombed, I bet he either gets burned alive himself or gets jailed for arson.

This season is going to end with a lot of L’s for out cast of characters. The beginning of the end of The Deuce

has to be the girls death at the hand of the corrupt cop who killed himself. It’d be big enough to change the whole police/mob/massage parlor relationship they’ve got going.

I'm almost done watching episode 8. Everybody is slowly catching L's. I don't think we're going to see real fallout until next season the final season. I read a couple a weeks ago the final season of The Deuce will probably be set in 1985. So I'm assuming we'll see some serious character consequences from the previous season.
