What does everyone think the deal is going to be with Carlos, the drunken PR(?) in Rudy's crew? This is the third episode they made it a point to mention he's a liability. I figure either he gets an important character killed, or the other way around. Maybe white Frankie's first body?
He is partially right though. The brothels are relatively benign next to the street p*ssy trade, at least in Rudy's joints, and the women aren't mentally and physically abused like the ones with pimps are. And Sobotka had to make lemonade with the brothels, given the fact that his health situation didn't allow him to go back on a construction site.
And just like in The Sopranos, Abby and Sobotka's wife want to act holier than thou, judging their men on one hand while spending their money faster than it comes in with the other.

I really do like this show. But i could do without the “essential” hbo depravity. The after show short is classic with the paul a tor like “heyyy. Isnt this great?” I get why but pauls character is useless otger than to show gay life in nyc 70s/80s. They aint even on the streets no more so i guess they had to switcharoo.

If anybody is gonna end up in a body bag I’d say between CC and his current/former hoes its 60/40 CC getting x’d. And that number gets higher by the episode. All these pimps have lost it and are getting phased out but he’s for sure hanging on by a thread.
And that’s a progression (or regression) I like. The whole pimp look and the “swag” and the talk is whatever, but ultimately they’re next level lowlifes and if the choice was between seeing him die/leave or Lori or any one of the girls lose I’m going with CC.
I was happy to see Ashley/Dorothy stand up to him. I didn’t want her to still be under his “spell” and I don’t think it would have been fair to her seeing how far she’s come and the work she’s trying to do.
