First time I'm hearing of there being 3 great lakes teams. Different part of the country than the one I'm from and currently living in. Know next to nothing about the great lakes.

No bruh Detroit’s identify will never be Americas team. Americas team is a team with a huge national and international fan base. A team that someone who isn’t even familiar with the sport knows and would root for. It’s a fan base that doesn’t care where you are from, you root for them because all Americans are supposed to root for them.

Detroit’s identity is a blue collar nothing is given to us, nothing is easy, we win because we are tougher than you and will never quit sort of deal. We aren’t a part of you, and we don’t want to be, we are tougher than you and you won’t get that unless you are from here………..that’s Detroit. You won’t see random celebrities repping them, people who rep that team have a tie to the city.
