Not exactly the same theory but the attack on internet archive and sites like Z-library makes me think we’ll see a dynamic where erasure like that lead to this

3/82
@NabilHunt
I don't get why the browser is there? Why not just use API calls to do all that without the extra work of locating clickable elements ?

4/82
@SavannahFeder
Because IG, X, TikTok, LinkedIn and other social platforms don't have (easily accessible) APIs.

Using a GUI lets you automate 10x more websites with way less boilerplate code.

5/82
@DessignNet
Automation is the key ... It looks amazing.. join the waiting list

23/82
@warptux
This is sweet! Do you have any detection for human-in-the-loop captcha solving?

24/82
@SavannahFeder
Thanks Tai!

It's able to solve CAPTCHAs without needing human intervention. That said, hoping to add human-in-the-loop for other use-cases in the future, like 2FA and reviewing content.

25/82
@oscoDOTblog
astral gonna automate you out of a job 😭

26/82
@SavannahFeder
Engineered my own demise 😎

Fr though, end goal is to make Cursor for marketing - not Devin

27/82
@_Diplopia_
This shyt will work for the tiny amount of time it's unprofitable to run your company before forcing a KYC human only internet as the only solution.

28/82
@coryklippsten
@phjlljp @CitizenBitcoin get on this 👀

29/82
@Chuck_Petras
@BrianRoemmele

30/82

44/82
@Ugo_alves
I imagine you don’t use reddit.
Thanks for ruining it.

45/82
@Gonzocrash
fukk you for ruining the internet. You're an evil c*nt

46/82
@MiltonCalderonD
cool!

47/82
@agirlonchain
so a reply bot? i'm confused.

48/82
@alvarovillalb_
I have a problem here. If anyone can run this on auto-pilot, wouldn't everyone stop consuming content? Meaning, wouldn't your success stop giving meaning to the content in there?

49/82
@crescent_curtis
“just like that, we have a genuine interaction”

she said that unironically. incredible.

50/82
@balakhonoff
autonomous agents blindly creating content and navigating sites will likely trigger rapid evolution of anti-bot measures, forcing a constant arms race between detection and evasion

51/82
@gregpr07
Are you using @browser_use underneigh?

52/82

53/82
@AndyJScott
Please stop doing this

54/82
@justmikekey
Congrats on reinventing the spam bot and slapping ‘AI’ on it. Navigating websites and automating Reddit? That’s just glorified ad pollution with an algorithm. The internet didn’t ask for another AI spamming tool—real innovation would be automating value, not noise.

55/82
@guyontheearth
"A genuine interaction"

It couldn't be less genuine if they tried.

56/82
@ravdeepanand
Ah yes, this IS the Dead Internet Theory manifest.

57/82
@GentJayson
Isn't this against TOS?

58/82
@pquiggles
Doesn't this violate the ToS on like every website?

59/82
@nic__carter
i can't wait to live in the internet of AI slop

60/82
@victor_explore
guess we're automating the art of getting downvoted on reddit now

61/82
@swyx
imagine being proud of this

62/82
@QuentinWach
You have automated lying. Congratulations.

63/82
@madartist23x
I need to learn more about the digital replica options, language parameters and if you can customize your character.

64/82
@iamrobotbear
Would love to get access and take Astral for a spin.

Congrats on the launch, Savannah!

Please reach out, hop in my DMs - have several businesses I might want to use this for.

65/82
@kkiran
This is cool! How do you deal with ToS of such platforms that prevent something like this? Can they not detect this (volume and pattern)?

66/82
@JohnBr0
Awesome! does it get stuck on CAPTCHAs?

67/82
@OriginalTrades
wow!

68/82
@fortissolaris
@LifeMathMoney thought you might find this interesting

69/82
@ahmetkcodes
Thanks for creating a reason to build even better anti-bot measures 🤣🤣🤣

70/82
@davidspiegs
Strong ethical reservations against it, but tbf there was a gap in the market.

Surprised if you were able to raise — don’t think it’s suitable as an investor-backed venture for several reasons.

1) This business thrives in the dark. Your product is useless if Reddit knows about it. If they understand your product, they can figure out how to ban it. This is not “white hat” marketing.

2) You’re risking a cease and desist / lawsuit. This has to be against ToS.

3) If bot just posts about 1 company and nothing else on 1 account, this strategy WILL backfire (and get you banned). Most effective way would be to comment on random posts in-between and limit mentions about that company. Optimally, you’d cycle between accounts that each seek to have their own personality, stick to unrelated subreddits or comment one one subreddit repeatedly, and cease the promo opportunity only once.

3a) That would require far more compute, many more accounts, and residential IPs — much more complex, and would not be a cheap to operate, but it would be 100x more valuable in the short-term.

If it succeeds, you ruin Reddit and your product is out of business..

71/82
@MikeBirdTech
I'm all for building, hacking, and trying to make things easier for entrepreneurs in the age of AI but I have a genuine question -

How is this not a spambot?

72/82
@Rahll
Instead of Astral, you should call it Enshyttification AI so people know at a glance what it does.

73/82
@themoneygps
My question is if there's risk in getting banned from the platform for this?

I would like to use it for my physical products brand. Finding people asking for the solution online, bot comes in with a comment saying something to get them to know our brand.

74/82
@kylascan
I mean this with total genuiness, but do you worry that you will create a world where your product dissolves the use of the platform, humans leave, and then its just an AI talking to other AIs?

75/82
@DinoVedo
This violates almost every single large social media companies terms and conditions. Using any form of automation that is not real user input is against their terms and you will receive a cease and desist quickly. I know because I’ve done it years ago. They will sue you and shut you down, especially if you plan on making money with it.

76/82
@CryptoStreamHub
Great now we get spam ads disguised as content.

77/82
@zxcvdot
Can’t wait to one day tell my kids stories around a campfire of how the internet was once wonderful

78/82
@PettitFrontier
Interesting but seems like a great way to get banned on Reddit 🤣

79/82
@uwwgo
i hate this

80/82
@GHHILL1911
Awesome. You've just destroyed Reddit.

81/82
@gngrblls2thwall
When you were a kid and you dreamed of what you might do when grew up, was “drown the world in horrible slop” at the top of the wish list, or just top 5?

82/82
@haeric
So it’s a spam bot?

4/24
@iamnafets
Because they literally don't want you doing this.

5/24
@HDPbilly
soon everyone will realize...

Trusting only the APIs is a risk

6/24
@3Dmattias
There is a very good reason there is no API.

7/24
@RochTalks
This is not true. They are not documented but it's enough to click F12 on your browser and look up the network tab to know exactly what kind of payload to fire where.

8/24
@AA_isnowonline
I don't think they allow you to do this

9/24
@technobaboo
okay, but then why not use the accessibility tree? that's a 100% text-based representation you could feed into an LLM... unless those sites have such bad accessibility... also why not use old reddit interface to make things load faster and have simpler more standard HTML elements

10/24
@RasilliNFT
I‘m pretty sure that using a bot on their sites is against the terms of service… no?

11/24
@nootdootboot
This isn't true at all lmao

12/24
@NabilHunt
I see. So the demo was for Reddit but it can be used for all social media ?

13/24
@a_void_sky
even with browser, how difficult is it to parse the html to do things?

14/24
@ravavyr
You could easily use a headless browser like puppeteer to do exactly the same things without a power-consuming interface. It would be faster and cleaner.
And No, i will not help push this shyt onto the internet faster than you already have.

15/24
@Lukeest
less likely for accounts to be banned also

16/24
@TheodoreBuilds
Better ability for “chameleon” like behavior as well.

17/24
@infinite_tofu
are you using Claude Sonnet 3.5's computer use features to implement this?

18/24
@MMosiuc
Also because platforms log everything the user is using(device, OS, browser, etc) and will ban you if you try to act like a regular user while going via the API.

19/24
@IssDeinFleisch
For a good reason. It annoys THEIR customers when you dump your generated shyt on THEIR site, so they will prolly lock you out and then sue the shyt out of you.

20/24
@Mat5ty
Yeah because of people like you lmaooooo

21/24
@ofreacharound
There is an X API that tons of spambots clearly have access to

22/24
@sirbob77777
Sure they do. They just don't want your ai generated garbage infecting them.

23/24
@gtrunner
"translation" APIs access isn't free
