Happy to see this get a second season. I rly hate both these actors they have as leads but i loved the series so far. Hope they stick the landing.
Maybe they can give Charles Dance a decent part in the second season (if they dont kill him). Waste of a good actor

.
I just really like how the show stayed away for the most part of the typical cliches that trip up good spy movies or shows.

no talking villain at the end
- No unnecessary happy ending
- everything wasn't tied up in a neat bow
-he still maintained a sense of intelligence -even when things were falling against him
-people who would normally die in situations like this would actually die
-and much like how it mirrors real life sometimes the bad guys actually win

You can tell the writers actually didn't insult the audiences intelligence by doing obligatory stupid stuff. Of course it's a show so a certain things happen that stretch the imagination but overall it wasn't like Alex Cross where you're like "come on man".

Bianca legit had it coming. Zero thought into the consequences of her actions for her family and even her superiors. Just plain ignorant and headstrong. I don't blame Jackal for ending it all right there. She wouldn't have stopped.

I still want to know how he survived that last crash while he was on the run, headed to the airport to find his wife. Wonder if Zina sent folks to scoop. Seemed like the car that was following him were assassins, then his car was t-boned. By whom? Then how does he ended up surviving that with just a few scars.... To me, a bit of a plot hole.

I wanted the bro-in-law Arturo to have a more excruciating ending. Dude was legit a liability and leech. At least, it didn't happen at the hands of Charles/Jackal. So when he finds Nuria and his kid, that won't be something held against him. The loose end in Spain will be Nuria's mother tho.

I know Season 2 will be him going after his family and all, but hoping we get to see some of his other high-profile targets as well. Maybe Zina breaks off and does her own thing with Jackal as her main shooter. We know he's going after Charles Dance and that crew that tried to take him out and didn't pay him, but hopefully they can show some of the other targets as well.

Might want to throw that in a spoiler tag, then let's discuss. I'm in agreement with you on much of this.

I've been thinking about watching this but

1. I have a copy of the original book and I've been procrastinating to read it for years now

2. Lashana Lynch's face is unsettling to me and she plays very unlikeable characters

But it does look like it can satisfy my spy thriller cravings:wow:

For some reason she sometimes looks like she got a Kai Cenat filter on :dead:

It was one of the first books I'd read that I couldn't put down. I didn't even know what it was about, just that Avon mentioned it in the Wire.

come on you have the guy clear in yoru scope but dont take the shot because he looks inured and then decide to go in for a closer look :mjlol: against a trained assassin

then you decide to split up :mjlol:, then you decide to attempt to reason with a trained killer in his own house who knows every nook and cranny.

If folks can't tell the difference between material like this, The Agency and Alex Cross I don't know what to tell you.

These 2 unlike AC actually had pace to them and gave weight to the protagonist and villains. Their villains has depth and the line between good and evil is very thin. There was no blaring loud music, just subtle undertones and quiet Jazz/medley music.

AC just turned into a SHYT show at times.

Sometimes pacing and less is more is good. Don't rush

alex cross
would have had bianca wake up at the end and osi telling her to stay low and undercover while they continue to track the jackal :troll:

Oh shyt I did not expect that ending :damn:,

I thought a team of assassins would show up, Vince would get taken out and Bianca and The Jackal would team up and go after the Syndicate/Government in season 2.

I'm not even mad she's gone her character did nothing for me, but I'm sad for her family.

Season 2, Jackal is gonna be on the war path :ohlawd:

I love it when a villain wins :banderas:
