Bucks let this nikka go one on one against a 6'3 point guard all game every game and had everybody thinking he was the heir(air) apparent to Jordan :mjtf:

Btw, that "0 in 150 teams have come back from down 3-0" is a disingenuous stat.

:martin:

All 150 instances are not equal.

What it doesn't account for is...
  • Higher seeds (better teams) being up 3-0 most of those times (137 out of 150), so a comeback is very unlikely.
  • How many times have the 8 seed been up 3-0 on a 2 seed? Never?
  • Losing the first 2 at home, sets the "freebie natural letdown" first closeout game as an important road W.
  • Injuries, especially in-series (Gabe Vincent)
So yeah, great accomplishment, if they pull it off.

But this situation is also the most "perfect storm" of events, making this comeback more likely than any other 0-3.

Vegas sees it too with their "disrespectful" odds towards the Heat.

They either should've had Giannis as his main defender, which he was in 2021 when they swept the Heat. Giannis guarded Butler for 113 possessions that series and held him to 14 ppg on 29% shooting. Even this year, whenever Giannis was switched onto Butler he made some shots but more often times than not he passed the ball back out and deferred; just like he does when Tatum guards him.

Or if Jrue was so adamant about guarding him, the Bucks should've aggressively trapped him like they did with DeRozan last year and forced the others to beat them, which they only started to show they were capability of vs the Knicks and Celtics.

Bud honestly should've been fired last year after his defensive plan in a game 7 vs Boston was to dare Grant Williams, A 41% 3PT SHOOTER, to shoot TWENTY wide open threes and obviously got burned for it. Dumbass probably got him mixed up with Robert Williams:comeon:

Bud's strategy of not letting Giannis guard Durant back in 2021 nearly cost them that series. Had Durant's toe not been on the line. Brooklyn probably wins the championship and Giannis is ringless....I'm not saying Giannis should guard KD for the entire game, but mix it up. Give him a different look and force KD to alter his shot.

With Brogdon most likely out, I think the Celts need to keep a tight 7-man rotation for game 6. I don't want to see Pritchard. Some have said Hauser, I don't think I want to see him either.

It's gonna have to be

Horford
Tatum
Brown
White
Smart

with Timelord and Grant Williams off the bench. Which means Tatum and Brown are going to have to play heavy minutes.

I think he’s playing. Last night they decided to sit him because the game was always out of reach to let him get some rest. How effective he will be? I don’t know but it gives the Celtics another body that can give the Jays 5-10 minutes of rest.

Nah, he doesn’t need to be out there if he’s that injured. We’re in crucial hours.

More minutes for Grant Williams is the answer. Let him play 33 minutes and let Pritchard play spot duty as extra ball handler.
