- Both heavily inspired by Taxi Driver, with one being much less of a rip off
Obviously Joker is a much more beautiful film visually, and an all time great acting talent in the lead. But when it comes to execution of similar intent, I feel like James Gunn's Super is the better comic book movie deconstruction, done with less money and much less talent. I think he said he pitched it as Taxi Driver meets Napoleon Dynamite lol, which is kinda what you have.
Not to mention the fact that if Frank Darbo ever ran into Aurther Fleck he would get his head buss, no Batman needed.
