This is why studious people have a hard time taking "the" Bible as a textbook filled with facts

It's nice. Has some great parables and encouraging pep talks. But it's no source of science fact

How did "the" Bible come to be? People got together and decided what to include and what to leave out and how to translate it. The stories themselves are versions of older stories.

None of this is a secret Brehs

I knew all of this at 15 in 1990

Y'all are shocked cause you don't read. You wait for Youtube vids to come along, and even THEN you don't research what people are telling you

So

Duh

I go to Church every Sunday. Been Baptised. Pray to Jesus, even. But I recognize that that's my cultural roots and I can't study my way out of that. So I embrace it.

But I also know the facts and I only "believe" in things that add up. I see preachers hustling. They scream about robbing G-d but G-d created everything out of nothing. So what's the money for? How do you send it to G-d for us?

Of course the money is for the people that run the church. So they make sure that "G-d" says it's a sinny sin sin not to pay

Are there good preachers? Sure. All the totally broke preachers are good preachers.

When I come up in the church I pay my $10 or $5 or $20 or $3 (depending on how heavy I'm holding, which is usually light).

They do they show, I bop my head. Fair enough

Don't be tryna figure out how much I make. I'm not about to pay you no 10% when I'm in debt as it is.

So it's whatever Breh. Have fun in church and also use your noodle.

That is not your cultural roots. But what ever

Yeah from what I understand the Concil didnt create “Jesus”, there was more so just debate on how to interpret the story.

Ehh... somewhat, but more importantly to lay the foundations of the belief (hence the creed of Nicaea) and to put into the words the fundamentals of the Christian faith.

This is basic stuff that every orthodox Christian learns at 12, but you have grown "pastors" with 0 doctrinal training and no basis in theology stumbling upon this and treating it like its some Illuminati.:mjlol:

I bet these fools don't even know what the Apocrypha is, but they want to speak on Nicaea as if everyone doesn't know what Nicaea is :dead:

This would be the equivalent of a foreigner saying to an American "Do you know the truth about the electoral college? :ohhh::ohhh::ohhh:"

As if any American doesn't know what the electoral college is :mjlol:

The Vatican has a 'true' copy of these bible which is 5x the size of the normal one. They also pick and choose what gets added.

Jesus very well exists but our interpretation of him has been distorted
True copy of the Bible? Is it called Bible? Before the Bible man existed for years. They didn't know of a Jesus

Did anyone read the links serapis christus - Google Search

A white man that invaded ancient Egypt and decided he wanted to be a pharoah or worshipped by the people.

Before the Bible was written his followers was called Christians! And leaders of his followers called bishops

The council of nicea did not create Jesus :mjlol: they just outlined some theological aspects of Christianity

The consensus of historians agree and confirm that Jesus was a historical person. There is no evidence for all the miraculous biblical claims though.

No one said the council created Jesus. They created the outine of rules or how to be a proper follower of Serapis Christus. You may know him as Jesus.

Hell and Heaven. Thoughts? :jbhmm:

Kid games for the simple minded

Now, does your soul live on after death? Perhaps

Does your "afterlife" depend on stuff you did while alive? Could be

I don't think every person becomes a ghost. I think that some just die and that's it. And some have a strong enough spirit that it persists past the death of the body

This spirit could be confused and tied to a certain spot it's whole afterlife cause of whatever (you've seen ghost stories)

Or it could appear to children and tell them not to be scared

Different shyt

Maybe some fly through space

Maybe some can exist at higher frequencies in "other dimensions" which is like saying infared or hypersonic signals are in other dimensions (they are right here beside you, you just can't detect them with your equipment. Your eyes and ears).
