This is why studious people have a hard time taking "the" Bible as a textbook filled with facts
It's nice. Has some great parables and encouraging pep talks. But it's no source of science fact
How did "the" Bible come to be? People got together and decided what to include and what to leave out and how to translate it. The stories themselves are versions of older stories.
None of this is a secret Brehs
I knew all of this at 15 in 1990
Y'all are shocked cause you don't read. You wait for Youtube vids to come along, and even THEN you don't research what people are telling you
So
Duh
I go to Church every Sunday. Been Baptised. Pray to Jesus, even. But I recognize that that's my cultural roots and I can't study my way out of that. So I embrace it.
But I also know the facts and I only "believe" in things that add up. I see preachers hustling. They scream about robbing G-d but G-d created everything out of nothing. So what's the money for? How do you send it to G-d for us?
Of course the money is for the people that run the church. So they make sure that "G-d" says it's a sinny sin sin not to pay
Are there good preachers? Sure. All the totally broke preachers are good preachers.
When I come up in the church I pay my $10 or $5 or $20 or $3 (depending on how heavy I'm holding, which is usually light).
They do they show, I bop my head. Fair enough
Don't be tryna figure out how much I make. I'm not about to pay you no 10% when I'm in debt as it is.
So it's whatever Breh. Have fun in church and also use your noodle.
