People don't seem to understand just how huge the US population is in comparison to the vast majority of the rest of the world. nikkas will bring up New Zealand's stimulus payments being something like $600 a week while completely ignoring that more people live in New Jersey. All that stuff she listed off would give everybody a massive $16 increase on their check assuming they're only paying 150M Americans.
It's more so the optics of giving money to other countries when you have citizens of your own struggling to make ends meet. Why say that you don't have it to give to US citizens, but dish it out and more to big businesses and lobbyist? And don't use the excuse that one side wanted to give us more money than the other as the bill still would be chalked full of provisions that give money and handouts to big businesses.
Lobbyist and party leaders made the bill with no input from Congress. All of Congress flat out snitched on themselves and people still don't see what the game is.
