SC was already 4th.

Did you know this?
I've literally said it's 4th multiple times including in the post you quoted. There's a power in going fourth as it allows you to look at the candidates who emerged from Iowa/NH/etc and catapult one. With Obama there was a question of what black voters would do. Many black leaders were endorsing Hillary, yet Obama dominated Iowa and barely lost NH. Then he lost the Nevada caucus if I remember correctly, followed by completely dominating SC. The rest was history. I'd rather have that power than going first for no logical reason. Miss me with the black voter shyt. There are plenty of black voters in competitive states like Michigan, NC, and Georgia.

the only reason I see you elevating states other than SC is ...they're swing states? Well what was the case for keep Iowa then?

I already said Iowa should be dropped. MI, NH, NV, NC or GA. And if you keep SC at 4, I'd add another state on the same day. SC has no real value and this is solely about Biden paying Clyburn back. That's it. You want more black voters, pick a state that's competitive.

EDIT: lol was about to post that twitter thread

Many progressives have no interest in the politics part of politics. They just want to tell you what to think, and what's good for you...and if you get it great, if not too bad. That's not how black voters operate. It's not how most voters operate.

Even The Majority Report was basically saying the same thing. You can't keep trying to do this "win with 30% strategy". It won't work. You gotta do the long lasting work of winning voters over.

I feel like they fell into a good situation they won't get again. Hillary was a terrible candidate, completely unlikeable, and there was a chance to merge the "anti-Hillary" vote with the left vote. It worked in some states but the minute the campaign went down south, Bernie started getting blown out. I vividly remember leftists on this very forum claiming Clyburn was irrelevant, you shouldn't have to go to a fish fry event to glad hand, churches don't matter, etc etc etc. Well we know how that turned out, in 2016 and 2020.

There were leftists more excited about a potential red wave than republicans. And when it didn't happen, it completely killed the left's cynical bullshyt IMO. Biden will be emboldened in 2024, and if he doesn't run there will be traditional candidates ready to take the mantle. Including governors. The idea that leftists can trot out Nina Turner or even Bernie Sanders and have any traction is a pipedream now. This is clearly about COALITIONS, and leftists have shown they have zero interest in building them. That shyt isn't working in a post-Roe climate with the base energized about abortion rights. Not to mention black interests, gay interests, union interests, democracy....most of which Bernie types don't give a shyt about. I'm sure someone will quote this post all upset but you guys have shown your ass for six years now. I understand there are competent, good faith leftists out there. But the most noise comes from trolls, agitators, fascist sympathizers, and losers. You took an L last month and will continue to do so.

I really dont get this notion Hillary was a band candidate. Thats just more online leftist propaganda. Hillary was just fine IMO. Plus, she ended up being right about everything.

Everything else you said is just immaturity from them being unwilling to grow up or be accountable.

Any other candidate with favorables that in the water would be called bad. The only reason people try to rewrite history is to make her some tragic (female) figure who got fukked over. The oracle of truth who we should have listened to lol. In reality she ran a shyt campaign, didn't listen to Obama (or Biden), and got blasted.

I think we're closer to a lot of leftists voting for DeSantis or Trump than having an impact on the 2024 nomination process.

I. Liked. Hillary. Clinton.

I know people who worked with her personally for years and have positive things to say.

With regards to those leftists, absolutely. They really think burning shyt down is their only way forward.

Here is the truth: Bernie did immeasurable and still long lasting damage to the democrats and we are not out of the woods yet. Being a democrat was a calculated and tenuous relationship of a large tent that was very delicate. Bernie ruined that.
