I feel like they fell into a good situation they won't get again. Hillary was a terrible candidate, completely unlikeable, and there was a chance to merge the "anti-Hillary" vote with the left vote. It worked in some states but the minute the campaign went down south, Bernie started getting blown out. I vividly remember leftists on this very forum claiming Clyburn was irrelevant, you shouldn't have to go to a fish fry event to glad hand, churches don't matter, etc etc etc. Well we know how that turned out, in 2016 and 2020.
There were leftists more excited about a potential red wave than republicans. And when it didn't happen, it completely killed the left's cynical bullshyt IMO. Biden will be emboldened in 2024, and if he doesn't run there will be traditional candidates ready to take the mantle. Including governors. The idea that leftists can trot out Nina Turner or even Bernie Sanders and have any traction is a pipedream now. This is clearly about COALITIONS, and leftists have shown they have zero interest in building them. That shyt isn't working in a post-Roe climate with the base energized about abortion rights. Not to mention black interests, gay interests, union interests, democracy....most of which Bernie types don't give a shyt about. I'm sure someone will quote this post all upset but you guys have shown your ass for six years now. I understand there are competent, good faith leftists out there. But the most noise comes from trolls, agitators, fascist sympathizers, and losers. You took an L last month and will continue to do so.
