She was part of the siege on the Capitol under the reasonable assumption they were going to murder everyone in there or something just as bad.It is not just about her views. When she was shot she was the first person through the window while they were trying to break down the door to get at politicians behind that barrier. She got capped to stop the entire crowd.

Why? She was a member of a mob intent on killing politicians and overthrowing a fair election because their guy didn't win. Explain to me why deadly force shouldn't have been used to stop that.
I must have posted this picture a bunch of times now but I keep posting it because it helps highlight the intent of what was going on here. They were screaming hang Mike Pence and screaming "Where is nancy". They didn't just want to have a friendly chat especially after they killed an officer WHO IS ON THEIR SIDE! Why did this guy have ziptie cuffs? What was his intentions? I think we can guess..
It's obvious to me that the majority of the crowd was the directionless mob but interspersed there were people mixed in who were more focused on objectives. This guy is one of those people. The criminal thing here is that they didn't use more force than they would have definitely used if these folks were black.
Jim Clyburn said that he has two offices, with one being unmarked on the third floor and his more public office with his name on the first floor. He said he usually uses the third-floor unmarked office most of the time. They completely bypassed his public office and made their way to his more discrete office, most likely to find him and do who knows what. Someone tipped them off to this fact.
