But sony legit came in the game with a War chest of funds, bought a major publisher, locked up exclusives 3rd party games off the competition platforms and pushed their own product via consoles aka the cds and dvds.
Even with sega making terrible choices and nintendo and sony falling out, none of that changes what sony did and does till this day... which is the same or very similar to reasons a lot of sony stans supposedly "hate MS and Xbox"
I wouldn't change a thing tho, competition drives innovation in tech
