:beli: so how much weight have you gained since, and did it go straight to your hips :shaq:

I actually went double time in regard to my workouts so that I wouldn't gain weight. My fat doesn't go to the right places :flabbynsick: that's why I have to be so strict.

I ran 106 miles in August (40 of them since orientation started on the 20th). I also lifted weights. I ended up losing a pound :smugbiden:

Taking 18 hours.

9 hours are independent study style courses where I basically write a few reports on stuff I do at work and 1 research paper at the end of the semester :win:

Does anyone have any tips for being good in calculus, we just started and limits seem quite challenging, also how much of calculus is used in the computer science field?

It's mainly a prerequisite to linear algebreh.

And think rational functions, as far as limits are concerned....

The American Bankers Association and the Quiet War on Students

Devon Douglas-Bowers
Activist Post

College students and graduates around the nation are buried in debt and trying to succeed in an extremely difficult and competitive economic environment. Many people are graduating only to find that they are unable to get the jobs they want either due to the small number of available positions or, more usually, the problem that they lack "experience" – and are thus reduced to working menial jobs while paying back exorbitant loans.

So far very little legislation has been passed to aid students in paying back their loans, and many blame politicians. However, the situation goes deeper than this and lies, in part, with a little-known institution called the American Bankers Association.

Usually you want to do lots of problems out the book, ask questions and go to office hours. Joining a study group really helps a lot too just make sure you actually participate instead of just sitting there.
Heres a site that actually helped me a lot during my calc phase and is a good second reference. http://tutorial.math.lamar.edu/Classes/CalcI/TheLimit.aspx

I am in intellectual heaven right now. The right university can bring out the best in you and open up a world of opportunities. I love my school, my program, my cohort, and my new city. I hope this feeling lasts past orientation (class starts next week).
