lol,,, that hairline shyt is real in IT. Its that off hours working, always thinking about shyt... always wondering what if this what if that n shyt.

Lucky the tangible fruits of the labor still lead to money and p*ssy.

Monistat 7 should come with company laptops.

Watch that companies internal network or ERP go down for the most arbitrary reason, you'll loose your hair real quick.

True, stressful as hell too. :sadcam:

My hairline :snoop:

No one in my family has hairline issues :sadcam:

programming comes fairly easy to me once I invested the time to learn :manny:. All you really need to know is what features are available that can help you write shorter/simpler code, and be able to think in a object-oriented nature. I guess the hard part is trying to learn tho...

Come to think about it tho, when I was first learning, I had many nights when I wanted to quit. The amount of learning was :merchant: and it seemed like everytime I learned one thing, there was something else to learn on top of that :why:. But the time invested I wouldn't change for the world because it made my skills tight. My hairline still in-tact too :win:

Learn how to type 100wpm while you do it. Worst case scenario if you cant make it in IT, you can do dictations for dr's and type up their reports. Real good money, friends.

I saw a program for this on the internet...show you how to transcribe speakers and such?? is this what you are referring to??

Lol @ just a programmer, nikka please, If you don't go take yo ass back to the IT room and set up a router. And please don't call yourself a programmer just because you write 10 lines of code in a scripting language per day. Don't disrespect the art of software engineering lil' man.

I only write scripts which help me automate most of my network/voice tasks. I don't program for sites and stuff like that anymore.

But if you have been in a company which has a network supporting thousands of satellite users...you will understand.

We are a Satellite ISP, supporting companies/users in North America and South America where they can't get broadband but need broadband type speeds (4G example) to function

Very curious to hear about what is causing the stress to my Coli brehs in the IT field?

Been heavily considering making the career switch from Law to IT, due to advancement opportunities, and salary/bonus structures. I am rarely ever stressed at my current job, but have no problem taking it on if the compensation is there. I work hard but obviously still want the balance where I'm not taking it home daily.

The more money you make in IT the worse your work life balance usually. It's more important to find a well run company especially in the IT field. You can easily tell which companies abuse their IT staff and work them into the ground because the turnover rate there is sky high.
