Im stuck between @head shots101 and @ibrokemyneck this one will have to come back and listen to each beat a few times before i give the final decision. @TEKBEATZ the beat is dope, the song is dope, i just dont see it as a street banger. When I think of street banger I think of something aggressive. But that song is dope as hell. Aint that your lil cousins or somethin?

My thoughts on the songs in this bracket

DBR
beat is dope and hard as fukk. Definitely hard street banger material. The chorus is nice and catchy. The emcees were solid and fit the production. Nobody really killed it with their bars or stood out with the flows, but nobody was wack. The last emcee was prolly the best one though. He had the right blend of energy and bars. Overall the track is dope and it's a hard street banger imo. Nothing next level though.

another dope beat that's hard as fukk. You already know you're getting a hard street banger. Flow is dope and the emcee's voice is distinct and powerful which is a plus for hard street bangers. The lyrics were nice too. The chorus is dope, but I don't think it's catchy enough to be the highlight of the track or blow it up. The song's true strength to me is the bars and beat. Both work well for this type of song. Definitely a hard street banger. I prefer aggressive faster tempo type bangers tho, but I can't front. This could easily be played in the whip, while posting up on the block. Track is dope though

beat is dope, not blow you away dope, but for the type of song it is, it works well. The emcee is going in and has a good voice for this type of track. I liked the flow and the bars were cool, although no lines really stood out. The chorus is dope as fukk and got that catchy hood type vibe to it. The other emcee wasn't as dope as Rod on this tho, but he ain't ruin the song. Like this could be a dope video on BET Uncut or some shyt. Song wasn't on some next level shyt, but it's a hard street banger. The chorus really gives it potential though. Overall the track is dope. Better spitting would have prolly took it up a notch, but it's dope as it is.

Roxxthe96er
beat is dope for a club joint or if we smoking and vibing, but it's not a hard street banger. The flows and lyrics cool, but nothing stands out about them. The autotune is cool at first, but felt a lil overused after listening to the whole song twice. I think the song would get annoying after a while, but if you were to listen to it like it's an album cut and keep it moving to the next track, you'll be good. Even as a club joint, it comes off generic and forced, but it's not bad. Truthfully the song is just out of place, especially after hearing the previous 3 tracks in this bracket. Not a hard street banger at all.

HeadShots 101
beat is dope and while not aggressive, still has that street banger vibe to it. Kinda feels like the song belongs on a old DJ Clue tape circa 1999. The emcee is dope and has personality. The bars were cool and the flow was nice too. He fit the production well. The chorus was nice and catchy. Overall the track is dope, but nothing really stood out too much about it. Like everything was solid all around.
not the hardest track, but definitely a street banger. If the beat was harder, that would have prolly taken the track up a notch. Like it can buzz, but I don't think blow up.

BlackDroog
beat is hard and dope as fukk while also having the goat sample flip from the goat show (Spartacus) Not really trying to critique my own music lol, but I'll give it some context. The track is about me attempting a suicide and the eventual confrontation with the demon that is projecting these negative thoughts. As a stand alone song, the track is a hard banger. It's just that its story/song fits better when it's presented with the other songs in that collection that make up the rest of the soundtrack. We ended up making a spin off comic about it that's currently on it's 3rd issue.

The song doesn't have any chorus or catchy parts so that might bring down the potential of it blowing up as a street single etc...but as an album cut it works well. Can't really say more about it than that.
In a sense it's prolly like Damien from DMX.. Great song and concept, but not the hardest street banger.

TekBeatz
beat is dope on some chill shyt, but it's far from being a hard street banger. The emcees did they thing though and fit the production. Both flowed well. Nobody's bars are flows really stood out though, but nobody came weak. The audio sample was a nice touch on the beat as well. This makes for a good album cut, but I wouldn't put it out as a hard street banger.

Ibrokemyneck
beat is hard and dope as fukk, but more on the mellow side on some chill G type shyt. The sound effects in the intro were a nice touch too. The emcee is dope. He killed it with the flow and his bars were hitting. I like how he spit aggressively to the beat which helped the production feel even harder. Beat was creative too, cuz of all the transitions it had. Like the beat was just hard enough to be a street banger and then the vocals took it to the next level. Song structure was different too and you can recite certain parts like the chorus and intro so it has potential. I liked how the middle of the song got all emotional and shyt with the production. Then dude just kept flowing. I really fukks with this song. Like everything comes together just right. Like it's the perfect blend of dope production, bars, flows, and lyrics. Then the beat is creative in itself which in turns makes the song structure feel creative too. This is definitely a hard street banger, but with some extra flair to make it hit that next level.

Song is a 10.

I enjoyed listening to the music in this bracket. I felt like this bracket had more actual hard street bangers than the other bracket did. There were like only 2 songs in here that I felt were out of place, but everything else felt like they could all be on the same playlist.

:salute:to all those that participated.

A.V. if I go out and pull a drive-by I'm blaming you lol that track go hard.

Tekbeats, I'm pretty muched biased with this nikka always been one of my favorites since sohh.com his beats make a nikka miss the golden era of hip-hop.

Roxxthe96er the instant you started flowing on that track was like throwing up the bat signal for this beat I got the shyt just started callin out your name, I'm about to start work on a new mixtape and I would love for you to rock the beat I have if you're willing.

fire from everyone but these are the 3 I was feeling the most, there is only one logical way to pick....

eeny meeny miny moe....

Roxxthe96er gets my vote.

Respect to everyone who did a song. As far as the voting criteria, I decided to break own each song.

1) Tony Blak - Money Talk

Production: Beat is dope, it's somewhat derivative but it's well constructed and it works with this song.
Flow: The flow is nice throughout (especially dude on the 3rd verse), it's definitely the highlight on the vocal end imo. The hook got a nice ring to it too, it anchors the track. All the same it would've been nice if there was a bridge after the 2nd verse to change the song up instead of repeating the hook again.
Lyrics: Technically the lyrics are average and content-wise there's a lack of particularly memorable lines. The hook is definitely the most memorable chunk of the song.
Creativity: The song in general feels somewhat derivative, I did like some of what was being done with delivery though. The 3rd rapper had good presence, he lacked standout lines to take his verse to the next level though.
Potential: I think that it makes a solid mixtape track, the lack of standout lines makes it more forgettable than not though. The beat and the hook have a nice presence so I think that's what will catch people's ears, none of the verses made me want to check out any of the rappers beyond this song though. If the verses were redone somehow I think this track will have a lot more potential.

2) AV - Fucitdoe

Production: Beat on this is flames, reminds me of some dark Kevin Gates type shyt.
Flow: The flow was smooth without any choppiness, it would've been nice if you changed it up more significantly once or twice in the first two verses though. The beat itself doesn't have any significant change-ups (as far as the beat progression) so the lack of a switch-up with the first two verses is making it fluid in a way that isn't as attention-grabbing as it could be imo. You switched it up a little on the last verse though which was good, I think you could switch it up even more drastically though and get good results.
Lyrics: You have a good grasp of the technical shyt, you had some slick lines throughout too which kept it more interesting than not. I couldn't guess the next thing you were gonna say, that's a very good thing. The hook was solid too, definitely worked with the beat. This song is not amazing lyrically by any means but for the kind of song it is (street banger) it's above average.
Creativity: This is where the song felt lacking imo but I want to be clear, I'm not referring to the lyrics being "unoriginal" or the topic being "generic". Personally I don't think any topic is inherently generic, the problem for me here was that there were no real curveballs in this song. The song structure was very orthodox and lyrically there were no true surprises although there were a few slick lines.
Potential: This is a solid song, it definitely has potential. IDK if it's a breakout hit but I think it can/will get burn in the streets even just off the production alone. I think that what can be improved on with this song is reworking some of the song structure in the first and second verse, it feels too safe as far as NY street rap goes imo.

3) BigRodthe1 - Over Here

Production: The beat got that hood Detroit/ Dough Boyz Cashout feel to it, it has a very local sound to it but I actually like it.
Flow: Your flow is cool, the 2nd dude's flow is a little rocky. One comment I have about your flow though is that your delivery isn't really creating separation between the lines, the impact of the lines are being blunted by the lack of variation in the way you're delivering each line. Funny enough the hook had a little more of that than your verses did, it made the hook pop more than the rest of the song.
Lyrics: Lyrically the 2nd dude's verse was wack imo. Your 1st verse is ok, technically and conceptually though it's definitely on the basic side. Your 2nd verse is much better because you focused more on storytelling, that created more interest in what you were gonna say the next line. I think this song would have benefitted from more of that, it would've been cool to get more of the imagery of living in Detroit considering that's what the song's about.
Creativity: This song was definitely lacking creatively on the conceptual side as well as the song structure.
Potential: This works ok as a block anthem but not much else imo. If you redid the song and made it have more of a story I think that will change though.

4) Big Roxx - Dope

Production: Beat is cool, it has a Lil Wayne/Kevin Gates feel to it.
Flow: Your flow is decent, the autotune definitely helps to sell it. I feel like more should've been done to make the hook stand out though, it sort of just feels like an extension of the verses the way it's mixed and that's holding the song back from standing out more.
Lyrics: The lyrics are very generic, 8/10 I could guess the next thing you were going to say. Technically the lyrics are cool but they don't paint much of a picture that feels specific.
Creativity: Like I said above, the song feels very derivative. If more had been done to give the hook it's own sound I think that might've actually helped with making it feel less generic, in this version of the song though it doesn't stand out to my ear.
Potential: The beat is cool, lyrically though it feels like a throwaway mixtape single.

I'll get around to the rest of the songs tomorrow before I vote.

Appreciate the review my man :obama:
