I can't buy either with the Canadian dollar down the toilet.
I did the math. At $199 I'd pay R3504 (incl shipping, excl taxes). However on clothing imports we get taxed heavily, up to 40% of the items value. The value is not based on the price the importer pays but on the perceived value of the item. The shoes retail locally for R5000+.
I burnt last year importing 2 T Shirts for pennies (on sale at Asos, one Diesel, one G Star), both cost about $30 with about $5 for shipping. I paid twice that for customs duties

What shoe size do you wear? I have a large foot (13) and it's hard enough trying to get regular tennis shoes. I generally have to pay full price, especially for a hot shoe. How do I go about trying to find bargains when most of the shoes on clearance are small sizes (8-11).

honestly i've seen hella nice shoes in the 13+ areas... especially the dope brands like Gucci, Prada and Alexander McQueen, problem is you gotta flip over every shoe in every box... in every rack, that is a pain in the ass but worth it even if you find 1 pair of fly kicks
