Lamelo gonna be fine. This was a publicity stunt but I think the kid will be a pro within 3-5 years.
He's going to need to get taller to make up for his lack of athleticism, I don't think being a pro is necessarily a certainty, look at the number 1 kid in his class -
6'6" 180
Just a huge difference between him and LaMelo, and a lot of what Chino Hills does relies on
Onyeka Okongwu
Its hard for people to give him his props and move on, they got to find something to discredit him. Like scoring 92 points takes no effort.

To be fair RJ is really a class of 2018 kid and LaMelo is a young sophomore.
Regardless, he's going to need a growth spurt in the worst way, and their style of play wont work without Onyeka there, if he ever transfers Chino Hills is fukked.
The dad is saying he's supposed to be around 6'8. I don't see it but he did just hit a growth spurt to around 6'3. If his athleticism doesn't take a leap after junior year that's when it becomes a slight concern.
And yeah if Onyeka ever leaves Chino Hills is BBQ chicken.
