I should make admit that I haven't seen this stimulator but chances are 1) the prices are delayed, 2) the interface is basic and unsophisticated which means that you don't have all the virtual tools number simulators have and 3) the sim might not even have trend graphs which would make it virtually useless.

All this being said, this could be a tool to get people interested in reading and learning about the market, which is a positive in and of itself.

@Momentum
stay poor and ignorant breh. ive already made money on the real market ne4 and about to make some more

Do you have some recommendations for more sophisticated simulators?

@greenhousegases its an add on we bought like all the other features we have. Someone in TLR showed it to us a month and some change ago. Would've been added sooner, but there was a bug I found that finally got fixed. There's no catch.

@LionofJudah nah, I'll ask the dev if its possible to add something like that.

@fkdmR so we should open and close the market right?

It depends, is this a simulator created by a freelance coder or is it from an actual trading company? Because if it's the former then ask him if it's a model with random metrics or if it's based on NYSE etc. it's really important to know because the random models that are out there have built in algorithms that gives predictions on a stocks performance instead of showing the real changes.

If it's real then yea, someone basically has to wake up at 7
AM to open the premarket for purchases/sales and close it at 4PM with some days with postmarket adjustments until 8pm. This is not too important, what is important is to find out what kind of trading model he built because that will show the limitations/possibilities of the program.

Whats Min number of days before can sell shares in real life?

There's no min/max #. That's exactly what short trading is, you buy and sell in a small time frame. Similar to arbitrage, u find a glitch in the actual price and current price and take advantage of it. I doubt it's possible in this model but yea, definitely allow stocks to be bought/sold whenever.

Ok, that sounds good!

Yea, the pre/after hours are opportunities for investors to benefit from the changes in the intrinsic value of a company. Companies are slick with their shyt, they often report their earnings after the market closes or postpone PR releases to when the market has closed because they seek to minimize the damage. That's why they have pre/after trading hours but come to think about it, it shouldn't be that important for coli since hardly anyone will sit and look up business news everyday to invest better (except me :youngsabo:).

EDIT: Oh and when you click on a stock, can you guys fix so we can have different options for the time range of the stock's performance? Currently it's only showing the day, it would be cool if we could see 6months/year/5years/etc.

Good looks on the info. We'll ask the developer if there's anything he can do about the time range of the stocks performance.
