The game doesn't handle preseason free agency though, its the same as regular season FA. So can we not sign anyone (or bid for anyone) now?

Didn't kingsnbucs accidentally pick some people up? If he did , there is no bidding set up. It can't be first come, first serve. thats not fair.

i have a hard time believing the higher rated free agents will be available week 1 of the regular season. it's real on the field, we out here in denver losing soldiers in preseason week 1 
. . regular season hasn't even began and i have glaring holes in the defense that need to be addressed. if it takes a few weeks to clear waivers that's fine, but i'm still putting my bid in 
My thing is you can get free agents NOW!!! No need for bidding until AFTER week 1.

I don't think that option is up yet from what I can see.
