OF's can be replaced... even starting pitching can be streamed.. a closer is so valuable.. i would have done that deal in a second if i was madoff

he gave you an 8th for ozuna? he isnt worth that... hes coming back down to earth now... a player that calibre you can draft in the 12th round.

On the other hand, I'm still trying to figure out whether I'm really gunning for top-three this year, and closers only have a real impact on one out of 12 categories

Saves for sure, but closers average about 60 innings per season, which means that in a league where you're shooting for 1250 innings, they only account for approximately 15% of your innings (assuming you have three of them), dramatically limiting their impact on ERA and WHIP.

Regardless, there's no denying you need them if you want a shot at winning the league.
