the season is so long... theres players that go on streaks like eric thames is on right now during the season... but since its the beginning and thats the only sample size we have its easy to assume the player has made the jump...

were not even 10% of our way through the season

Actually that really doesn't prove it at all. The point is that a certain level of production in April that no one has achieved other than these three players indicates a level of skill and potential for sustainability that "streaks" don't. Doesn't mean he's a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer, but there's something to be said for a guy who earns his entire three-year contract within three weeks.
