So the girl ends up with a white guy after the black guy is killed by police?

smh@ these tired subliminals

I read the synopsis...her white boyfriend.

Book is written by a black woman, so I'm not surprised

Bedwench agenda is in full gear, embedding it as a subtheme in well directed movies.

Not gonna pay money for that.

All this shows is alot of black people(especially black women) want to morph into white liberals. It's their wet dream.

@Lifejennings negged me for this. You must be LSA(bedwench alley) broad

What man would neg for this?

It won't. Two friends of mine (black women) watched it and loved it. Black women will make it number one in the box office.
:francis:
This looks good but Millenials love interracial romance and feeling like they're part of a 'movement'
Daily Box Office for Sunday, October 21, 2018 - Box Office Mojo
Halloween smashed everything.. T.H.U.G is currently #7:manny:
Might break even but definitely isn't smash territory

a Black ensemble cast...directed by a Black man...based on a Black novel written by a Black woman.....yea....my money was well spent u George Clooney lovin bytch...:umad:

This is the real reason nikkas in here hating on this movie along with the fact that she probably was the star witness to help get the white cop convicted for killing her black friend. This forum hate movies with the narrative of white people being punished for harming black people. They really hate the people who have a hand in helping the white person get punished. They're disguising their hate behind the bed wrench narrative but the real reason they hate this movie is a half white girl with a white boyfriend got a white cop punished for killing a black man.

Nobody is disguising anything, wha'ts being disguised is the bedwench promotion, same thing with a wrinkle in time written by another vetted black female author.

Soooooooooooooooooooooo many books written by black people but which ones keep reaching the Hollywood editing table. Objectivity has no pattern. There is clearly a pattern here.

Every since that tv show Scandal, this pattern has taken off because black women spend loads of money on thsi promotion.

A movie about a piece of shyt dirty cop going to prison for life and a black boy getting justice due to this girl's testimony and the thing you nikkas is worried about is who shes dating in the movie. Tariq says a bed wrench is a black woman who dates a white supremacist and takes on his way of thinking about black people. Seeing that she helped get a white cop punished and sent to prison for killing a black person is the opposite of a bed wrench. A bed wrench would of helped the cop get off. If you about justice for black people and punishment for white supremacists then that should be the big picture we should be focusing on in the black community first and foremost and that's what this movie is about and promoting.

You don't get to change the narrative they already made. They put the star of the movie, a black woman, in the arms of a white man, this is a bedwench movie, not a black movie.

This isnt a movie for black people. It's a movie with exaggerated racism in it that white people can look at and say "well that's not me!" And feel good about themselves while they continue to benefit from white supremacy. The problem is not the person shouting racial slurs and being physically hostile to black people. The problem is those who think black people are more or less okay and racism isnt as bad as black people who experience it on an interpersonal and structural level say it is.

This is a movie for white audiences to absolve themselves and think "black people dont hate us". Baldwin called this out long ago.

We see a film adaptation of “Uncle Tom’s Cabin,” showing Tom forgiving those who killed him. Baldwin greatly influenced public perception of the 19th-century novel with a 1949 critical takedown. In Peck’s documentary, he explains that he didn’t see Tom as a hero because he refused “to take vengeance into his own hands.”

The Defiant Ones” in which a pair of prison escapees chase a runaway train. The black convict makes it on, but he jumps off the train after the white convict can’t catch up.

While white liberals may have been relieved, Baldwin says in the documentary, black audiences were yelling, “Get back on that train, you fool!”

He continues: “The black man jumps off the train in order to reassure white people, to make them know that they’re not hated.”

Usually when a film has a racial component to it, white people must have a positive role in it or must be reassured that they're not hated and that racism is something that boils down to misunderstandings and deep down white people are good and deserving of forgiveness even when they commit unforgivable acts. This is part of the worldview that a lot of white Americans have where white people are all basically good.

I'm not really fitting to spend my hard earned dollars on some shyt designed to use my suffering as a black man to say nothing that will really uplift us in a realistic way.

They put the star of the movie taking down a piece of shyt white cop for killing a black person. That's the real reason why you mad. You hate to see white supremacists get punished for harming black people. You don't think black people are worthy of justice when it comes to white people harming us. So you got to find a non factor in the movie to deflect with and be fake outraged about but we know why you really hate this movie. You won't even acknowledge the white cop getting punished and the black man getting justice. That narrative burns your soul so much you can't it acknowledge it. That's the real reason why you mad at the girl in the movie because she helped that white cop get punished
