That sounds dope. Most party promoters I know usually have a strong social media presence and the crowd basically goes to the venue the promoter tells the to.

What is your social media presence looking like?

social media means something but not everything.. I got around 3000 instagram followers

but its all about your network... business cards and meeting new people (at the gym, buying clothes/groceries/at other parties or clubs) will always be better..

I paid a popular model girl $500 and she had 150k followers and she brought 3 people

I lost $1200 that night on that event because of that

they actually got apartments out there for small time leases I believe (I saw some with short term leases), its not like Bay Area where its all 1+ year leases. I am sure you can find something month to month at a pretty decent spot. Other than that, you can rent out a place in the hotels for around $1500 a month on the strip and probably less off the strip (more expensive than living in an apartment as its cheap as hell to live there, but its also fully furnished)

I can stay in Vegas for 1500 a month on the strip. I want to live in Vegas for a short term to sports gamble lol. I'd def do it if I only gotta pay 1500 for a fully furnished spot

nah they real.. its just promoting is so much more than just posting a flyer up on instagram or facebook and expecting people to see it.

I actually follow way more people than people that follow me, because this is my career and I take it very seriously and its what pays my bills. You can actually send DM's to people who dont follow you back, it gives me an opportunity to send them messages with the flyer attached and a message saying I can hook them up. Or lets say I see a picture of someone talkin about "whats going on this weekend?" and they werent following me back , I can still comment on it with what club ima be at and how I can take care of em.

or to give an example, if people are at a SF Giants or Oakland A's game and its a 7:15 game, ill post on their picture "hey come out after the game (games end at perfect time, around 10-10:30 pm) ill let yall in free"

This is the little stuff 99.99% promoters dont do. People always wanna team up with me and be like I got 20k followers and im like I know you would think it works that way but it doesnt


the 2 major rookie mistakes of promoting is;

1. expecting just because you know a lot of people that they will all show up. The stats over the years show that only 10-20% of someones guestlist will show up. You would need a guestlist of around 400+ people to even have 50 of them show to put things in perspective.

2. People think its just about posting flyers on ig/fb and getting 50 likes on it

those are the 2 biggest things I see rookies make at least

If you notice all the big time promoters are actually 30+ years old with a family and settled down. Thats because they put the ground work in, shook hands, passed out business cards and introduced themselves to people that way. The young people usually just come with the people they rode up in the car with but its all apart of learning and if they are willing to put the time in to build their clientele up.

It probably sounds like im hating in this post, but I just get a lot of people hitting me up to promote and this is just from personal experience over the years and just being as real as I can (cause people do PM on here as well asking how to get started in the business)

background: I've been promoting in the Bay Area since 2010, and about a year ago (last July) I became a full time club host/promoter. Ive been promoting in the top clubs in San Francisco, including one that was one of the main clubs featured on Real World San Francisco.

I took over San Francisco in pretty much a year by taking care of everyones party better than anyone (more entry comp tickets, lower bottle pricing, extending guestlist times, etc.)

But now im taking my talents to.... Vegas

For now I am at The Palms and all the clubs/pool parties there. But I will be travelling to Vegas early-mid July to check out apartments ive been looking at + meeting with other hotels/clubs to get everything situated there as well so I can hook yall up at all the main spots like Tao, Hakkasan, Light, 1OAK, Marquee, Encore, etc.

For people unfamiliar with The Palms because its off the strip a little bit (just an overpass away), its where Mayweather, Diddy, etc always have all their party's when they have fights/big parties in Vegas. So in September for the next Mayweather fight I got yall coli fam except them hoe ass #TnT cats nah im just playing, this is just words on an internet, when it comes to taking care of yall for my job I got yall, even @ThiefyPoo

The Palms also has the best Friday pool party. Called Ditch Fridays. Its summer and Vegas so EVERY pool party will be packed so regardless if Saturday or Sunday you will have a good time.

Why do you need a connect? Because if you just walk up to the club and try and order something, they are going to hit you full pop on everything. A connect you might get discounts through guestlist or deals through bottle service/cabana's, etc.

edit: I can also get you huge discounts at all the hotels as well. Just to give an example, I can get you a room at Hard Rock for around $22 a night at The Palms around $45 a night (all depending on days you go obviously)

I hooked some SOHH/Coli cats up once with some bottles, pretty much comped almost everything and those nikkas didn't even leave the bottle girls a tip. Worst part is they did it two days in a row. Bottle girls didn't tell me cause they thought me and them were real close cause of how I treated them. Couldn't explain they were just some nikkas off the internet I argue hip-hop and sports with.

Miami. I comped everything and charged the cost for if i remember correctly one bottle of goose or moet. They had like 4-5 bottles and got a $50 tab and left $50 two nights in a row. I vowed to never hook anybody from here up again.
