Well I think Tom has a job first of all so he normally loads the battles in the evening. Also as someone whom has did the process I assume he takes the first battles that both participants have submitted. Also I think it works best to stagger them over a day or two because I personally think it's hard as hell to properly listen to up to 16 battles in one sitting
staggering them builds anticipation for the next ones...everybody sitting in front of their computers like when will the next fix be thrown out
