This is cherried picked data. There are about 1.4 Billion Indians in India and most live in abject poverty. Only a super tiny minority of wealthy educated Indians are able to immigrate to the US. Conservatives misuse this information to undermine black American claims against institutional racism. Where's as ashkenazi jews are 1-2% of the US population but 40% of America's billionaires. Plus, Globally there are only 10M ashkenazi jews vs 1.3 Billion Indians.
select the top 1% of a country that emmigrate to the US for 6figure tech jobs to push a narrative and ignore the 99% living in poverty at their home country.

Came to say the same thing - Indians are 1/5 of the world's population so of course you end up with some in powerful roles. But only the top 1% most privileged and successful end up in the USA and for the most part their families took advantage of or abused the other 99% to get to this point.

This is interesting, But I think isn’t sustainable though, they going to do the same thing China did once they get in a better position and all of a sudden it’s going to be a domestic risk letting Indians become ceos of important companies,
I understand you want cheap already trained labor but at some point you have to reinvest into your domestic population, but like everything else this is a can the feds will kick down the road

This is really the center of it - our country has failed to educate its own population, and survives in science, engineering, tech, and medicine by engaging in brain drains of the best of other populations. It fukks shyt up on both ends - our people are screwed because their education and development is being ignored, and their people are screwed because all their best talent leaves the country leading to massive shortages.

Capitalism and inequality keep fukking everything up.

we see that here in america too with this race to the bottom with corporate relocations. they are founded in one state with more academic talent and financial resources and when they're big and established it's fukk taxes and regulations i want to move to state X that will let me do whatever. state X doesn't have to invest in their citizens because they can entice corporations to bring their people with them because fukk our state's people they ain't shyt and will never be shyt.

Indians in America are the 1 per cent?

Can you back up that claim?

There are about 1.4 billion Indians in the world. And 2.7 million of them live in America. So 0.2% of the global Indian population is in the USA.

Indian society is insanely stratified so mostly only the ones at the top get to go overseas. Damn near everyone who gets to the USA is either rich, a doctor/engineer, or doing very well in school for STEM. And when you ask any Indian where they want to go the most desired destinations by far are USA and UK with Australia getting honorable mention.

So yeah, I'd say the 0.2% of Indians in the USA mostly come from the top 1% of their population.

That's all realized ability, not actual potential though. I'm sure they got tens of milions of people with ability who will never get to use it cause of poverty and how terrible their school system is.

Most people don't have critical thinking skills. That's why right-wingers are able to pull the wool over black people's eyes because we take everything for face value. This is quite easy to prove. Most people in India live in abject poverty. There are only about 1 million Indian Americans which is less than 1% of the Indian population. This proves are poorly educated our people are.

Yep. Also think of how there are 1.4 billion Indians.
The top 1% of a billion is gonna have a lot of talented people just off numbers. And they all culturally are pushed to go into STEM. This is actually expected.

The situation is really unfortunate. Colleges cater to foreign students who can pay crazy out of state rates.

Also India openly practices a caste system, that should already tell folks what India is really about

While this is true, I think K-12 is where our greatest educational issues start. Far too many kids are never put into a position to go to college, much less STEM, whether they were taking foreigners or not.
