Does Lena actually write for this show or is she just the creator/EP?

I find it hard to believe that someone who is actually from the hood is writing this bs

it feels like a show written by white people or suburban nikkas
Not sure but it seems like she's way more hands-on after everything that happened last season. There's a NOTICEABLE difference between this year and last.

So if you watched the latest episode, yall see only Jake and Kevin attend the prep school right, so yall can dead that argument. I have some complaints about the show too but I think a lot of times we rush to judgment without allowing the storyline to play out. I witnessed it in the Power thread and it made me fall back.

Anyway, I thought this episode was decent enough. I dont like how the woman is trying to give Ronnie play each episode. He's homeless, pushing a cart...its not realistic.

I am glad to see Ms.Ethel but I hate that she doesn't recognize Ronnie. I dont like Jada going out with her coworker, I think she will regret it. I see what Emmett is trying to do but having Lala cook by herself and all he doing is taking orders and working the register? Absolutely not.

I think Keisha will be missing for majority of the series. That scene where Trig and his...love interest went to the trap house reminded me of Taken :mjlol:

Kevin's growth has been interesting to watch. He's becoming more vocal and self assured. He speaks with authority now and I like that.

They changed the plot up for his charcter though. It was supposed to be primarily Kevin attending it but they changed it because they lost Jason Mitchell and the actor who played Reg. They needed to keep those three kids together to still have something.

Yea Ive been watching since the 1st season so I know it was supposed to be only Kevin attending initially. I was referring to how there was some back and forth in the thread about how it was assumed that Poppa also went to the prep school and how it didn't make sense. And how in this episode they showed that he in fact, doesn't. They still together because they all work at the pizza joint....so it works out.

I think some presumed that Poppa woulda went to school with them too since Kevin was reluctant to leave in season 2 because of Jake and Poppa. It’s still early so they got time to hash out the school stuff, but yeah we’re just trying to fill in any gaps in the story.
