What does this even mean? Does Steph have more rings as a #1? Does he have more rings at all? Does he have more of anything?
Follow the discussion from the jump, I said Steph took 3 chips off Bron despite Bron being better. My point was winning the chip is better than having better stats as the loser. For instance, if the Lakers win it all this year with AD FMVP and good play from Bron but Tatum has better stats than Bron, are we going give Tatum props over Bron?

Lakers in 7. Maybe 6. But definitely Lakers...

The Lakers are showing the most dominant team defense I've seen in years, and AD is the best defensive player I've seen in years. This isn't solely based on Rd1, the Lakers are 23-10 in their last 33 games and it's this suffocating defense that has led this remarkable turnaround...

Make no mistake, if there's pressure here, it's on San Francisco. They the defending champs, they bringing the best player in the series, they had the best team all season, they play better offense, they have more continuity, etc etc etc...

There's at least a dozen reasons why they are the rightful favorites going in so losing this series would be a disappointment...

Make no mistake though: San Francisco is losing this series...

Ultimately this series may come down to how well a 38-year old, Year 20 LeBron can play. The level he played in the Memphis series isnt good enough. They at least need him to be what he was before he hurt his foot in February. If he's that, Lakers win this series...

If he on some throwback Bron shyt and is better than that, Lakers are winning this series quick. If he's the level he played in the Memphis series or less. Lakers lose...

We packing that Frisco shyt up, aint no doubt in my mind...

Best players in the series:

1 Steph
2 LeBron
3 AD
4 Wiggins
5 Klay
6 Looney
7 Dray
8 Reaves
9 Rui
10 Poole

All the best players in the series play for SF besides the Lakers Top 2. And we still finna pack that wack ass Bay shyt up...

Bro these nikkas acting dumb. '18 Bron with this team around him is beating the fukk outta the KD Warriors...

Unfortunately since he aint 5 years younger series will be a dogfight...

Lakers regardless...
Lakers may end up winning, who knows. I think you have doubts though based on your post

SMF and LAX to VA and NC
The whole post is hilarious, but lemme just quote this part of it.

:mjlol::dead:
I wish you guys who aren't even from California wouldn't root for our teams, you have no vested interest in this besides your Standom 🤣 The Lakers were the very first basketball team I ever rooted for, long before anyone here knew who LeBron was, and I actually spent part of my adolescence in Los Angeles...

Have you even been to The Bay? It's fukking garbage 🤣 🤣 🤣...

(Before you come back on some wild shyt I'm joking fam, of course you can root for teams and players even if you aren't from there 😆)...

A lose/lose for you.

Lakers win and Bron stans gonna be feeling like they 10ft tall when they stand on your neck; Warriors win and no more playoffs for y'all.

:mjgrin:
Actually it’s a win win

Lakers win = LWO wins and I can shyt on Steph
Lakers lose = my Bron agenda up

Steph and them not beating Jamal and that fraud Jokic anyways :yawn:

I’m nervous for you with this Dubs v Lakers series, I picked GS in 6 but I wouldn’t mind seeing your squad get through. I realize that I’m an outlier on the coli cause I really don’t care who wins just want to see a good series

As a lakers fan I can’t root against us so lakers in 7.

But it’s going to be a dogfight. We have no answer for steph and I’m not sure Lebron can keep up with him, this series is all on AD.

I’m locked for every game, I’m staying up until 1am all week, this is more important than work lol.

Why would Lebron be guarding Steph in this series?

Neither team deserves to be here so it’ll be interesting to see which inept coach and bad supporting cast shows up first :mjlol:

Steve Kerr is a Coach of the Year and Klay, Wiggins, Draymond, Poole, Looney, Donte, Payton, Kuminga is not a bad supporting cast. Wild framing.

The series is dependent on Anthony Davis. If he plays how he played last series, Lakers win.
Lebron will be as good as a 38 year old Lebron can be, but he can’t match Steph, so AD will have to be the best player in the series. The rest of the Lakers stink and can’t be trusted, Grizzlies series be damned. I fully expect D’Tective Russell to do his best to lose a game or two on his own.

The difference between this series and last series is that Warriors can run up the scoreboard no matter how well AD is playing defense inside. Memphis couldn't hit threes, Golden State can.

I think Golden State will be fine offensively, so the bigger questions are with the Lakers' offense.

* Is Bron anywhere near 100% or is his foot still limiting him? Will he be able to give an efficient 24-8-8, or will his shooting struggles continue?

* Can AD enforce his will offensively on a consistent basis, or will he be the guy who scored just 13, 12, and 16 in three games last series?

* Can D-Lo, Reaves, and Rui hit from outside reliably? Will Schroder, Beasley, Brown, and Vandy be able to hit enough open shots to even be playable?

If Bron and AD are at even 90% and the role players make open shots, Lakers will win. But if either Bron or AD are more seriously limited, or if the role players can't make shots, then Golden State is coming away with this.

Lakers from 3pt range in the first series had four games where they went:

7-26

7-28

10-36

10-39

You can survive that against the Grizzlies. Little chance against the Warriors. Lakers's supporting cast need to make open shots and Bron needs to get out of his shooting funk or they're going home.

IT was 3-1 over Jordan and has two rings off of MJ but MJ only has one off of him, I guess IT was better than MJ each of those years?

Bird up 2-0 with an extra ring, so better than MJ too by that logic.

If Tatum looks like the best player on the court, but he loses the Finals anyway because AD balls out and his supporting cast plays better, then yeah, it would be stupid to give Bron more props than Tatum for that just because Bron was the 2nd-best player on the winning team.

Jaylen Brown might have lost last year, but would you claim Klay was better just because he won?
Do you think Jrue was better than Booker in the 2021 Finals?
Was KCP's 2020 performance better than Jimmy Butler?

The obsession on this forum with selectively giving sidekicks full credit for winning/losing (only when it helps the argument) is wild. "RINGZ" only makes sense as an argument if you believe that 1 player has complete control over whether the team wins or loses. And if 1 player has complete control over that, then the sidekick is irrelevant.

Wherever nikkas need to be told on
One thing I look forward to watching is how Curry’s drives and finishes at the rim fare against AD’s rim protection

Both excel in these areas

And this was on display in both of their teams last games—AD was blocking and disrupting everything when Memphis tried to attack the basket and Steph was getting to the paint at will against the Kings and converting a variety of layups and floaters

Although Ja is a great finisher at the rim he’s not as smooth, savvy, and crafty as Steph is—will AD be as effective in slowing Steph’s scoring in the paint?

The Kings had nobody like AD guarding the paint —will Steph keep going to the hole undaunted?

@murksiderock You sound real confident in the Lakers not examining that AD is real vulnerable injury wise and LeBron isn't 100 percent healthy. The series has 1 day rest in between games. If or when AD gets into foul trouble what line up will Ham play confidently knowing the Warriors can counter with small ball lineup which not impacts spacing but uncontested 3s? The Grizzlies are nothing similar to Warriors in terms of spacing, 3pt shooting and defensive line ups.

Coaching = Warriors
Depth= Warriors
Defense= Lakers
3pt shooting= Warriors
Battle tested= Warriors
Rebounding= Lakers
