The Great Paper Chaser
You must not really follow ball like that...We have tried to trade the pick asking with players for Love.2 years in a row...of course he want willing to come until we got love....With the first pick we were going to pick 1/3 out of Wiggins, Parker, embiid...we picked the one with the most overall potential...the most hyped player since lebron came and a player who played will at both ends who didn't have an extensive history off injury...
When we got lebron that's when he decided he would be willing to come here...so now the Cavs nation is split on rather we want him or not...It's arguments to be m made for both with most of us only willing to give up Wiggins and another of our youth...
Prior to lebron signing we offered the first pick, Tristan Thompson, Dion waiters for love...now that we have lebron we aren't willing to send that offer anymore as we are only bidding against ourselves.
GSW id's doing right by not including Klay Thompson...
Also to ask you who say we can just sign him in the off-season...no we can't. We have to trade for him simple as that.
To those who say wait until the trade deadline hell no. This id's the highest his trade value is to us and gives us the most time to get him to come in and learn...why would we mess our chemistry up with a midseason blockbuster deal we will be in the playoff hunt and it id's likely that our young players are actually performing well.
With all l that being said if minny wants to move him it needs to be down prior h to Wiggins signing his rookie contract which is in I believe under 7 days now...Also part of the reason why he hadn't signed it yet...
Basically minny is either going to accept what we have going on or they won't...the shyt from lebron didn't help but I also have valid reason to believe he was yours that they were trading for love anyway and that's why he never reached pour to Wiggins or Bennett in the first place.
Even if Lebron would've never come back I think the Cavs were setting up to be contenders in a few years. They were headed down the same road as OKC. And using OKC as an example, when you try to tinker too much you end up running in place, not moving forward. My whole thing is, people look at Love coming to the Cavs as a sure shot for a title. I don't see it that way. It looks good on paper but then you have to play the games. If Lebron can't win 50 games with that current roster in that conference then something is wrong. Everyone keeps looking at the Spurs and saying "oh but they can't beat the Spurs" all because they ran through the Heat. The Spurs ran through nikkas because they had a deeper roster and ball movement. Love isn't a great defender and a trade will weaken the Cavs roster depth wise. And speaking of the Spurs, Love shot 3 - 14 and 5 -15 in 2 of their meetings. Don't get me wrong, Love is a great player but I don't think he's worth what Minnesota is asking teams for. I don't think he makes a team an automatic contender like the media is trying to portray. I would trade Waiters, Bennett and a first round pick. Take it or leave it.
