boogie nights is the best scorcese-style movie (im talking style of goodfellas and casino) that he didnt actually make

I'm kinda mad at Boogie Nights because it's forced me to take Marky Mark seriously as an actor.

That film is to porn what "Goodfellas" was to the mafia. Just a ultimately piff cinematic experience.

Brilliant movie. Great acting, cinematography, music, etc...The intensity of that scene cutting from Roller Girl in the limo and Dirk in the truck. The tension built up when play Sister Christian and Jesse’s Girl, and the long focus on Dirk’s face.

A great movie all the way around....and like someone said before it's about the porn industry but don't go in expecting a porno. It's sex scenes are tame compared to a late night HBO or Cinemax movie from the same time period this movie was released. But the fukkery is all the way through and I've never thought about the "Goodfellas/ Scorsese" thing until right now. It's a top 50 movie for me
