Breh, I posted Ida B. Wells' account at the bottom of the OP; she actually went there and investigated the incident right after it happened; she spoke with the guys he was with and got stories from the white newspapers...she used their own stories against them to create anti-lynching campaigns

man you gotta read the whole story that Ida B. Wells wrote...the details of the story are seriously 
the way he kept going back to reload his gun, empty that bytch in the white mob, then go back and reload, etc.

It's interesting that you made this connection.
You simply don't hear about this type of horrendous action being taken against white citizens, criminals or not.
That shyt was extremely foul....they purposefully burned him alive, like some sort of medieval tactic.
If we heard reports of Russians essentially burning Ukrainians alive. Or some Iraqi's burning Kurds alive. People would be all over the news bytching about human rights violations.
But it happened. Right here in the US, with hundreds of cameras filming...and nobody made so much as a peep about it, because he was black. He was murdered so that his story could not be told.
