For instance, if you don’t like the WBC’s franchise designation, then certainly you can’t like the WBA’s Super title either. Floyd was elevated to Super Champ by the WBA and got out of his mandatory fight with Thurman and fought Berto instead.

Should we not accept any Super WBA Champions, if we’re not accepting WBC Franchise Champions?

However, with Lomachenko, Haney and Teofimo -unification bouts supersede mandatories - right?

How can Loma duck Haney when he went to fight an actual champion in Teofimo??

It’s only when organizations say so, not when what’s transpired factually, black and white and in your face that someone becomes a champion?

Also, please explain how Devin Haney is the WBC lightweight champion. No one vacated anything and he fought no one.

If beating the guy who just had the belt and never lost it DOESN’T make you the champion, how could not fighting for it at all make you one?

The Super champion is regarded as the WBA's primary champion, the World champion is regarded as the regular belt by all the other boxing organizations. Once again, in order to be the " undisputed" champ other boxing organizations have to recognize the status which has been defined . There's no franchise belt in other weight classes nor does it have mandatories. Teofimo could just rectify this situation and fight devin haney. No reason to put your cape on for a shytty ass belt that should never existed

The franchise as a way for fighters to get out of their mandos because not one of them has circled back..canelo didnt lomachenko didnt..the super wba champion is the real champion..Floyd was the real WBA champion..and yes Floyd should have fought his WBA mandos at 147 (thurman) and 154 (lara)...both belts were gone officially after that berto fight anyways

i dont recognize any WBA regular nonsense outside of trolling @ChocolateGiddyUp ..i have posts all over the place about WBA title fukkery....or the fukkery when the WBA pulls BS from the real champs like it did at 130 with Tank and Alberto Machado (which is recently being corrected)

and regardless of the franchise nonsense, the franchise champion should eventually circle back and clean up......that is what im expecting teofimo to do if he retains against kambosos and he doesnt have any mandos that needs to be called..he does that and beats haney....he is undisputed at 135....notice we dont have to do this argument for josh taylor (who moved right) or canelo (who benefited from some WBC fukkery)
