The devil would be in the details...
...that said, any monetary reparations paid to the black community would be meaningless in its current state.

and for the record I do believe reparations are due to African Americans.

Its determining what those reparations should be, and how they should be distributed, proportioned, and protected that is tricky.
I don't believe that black people would ALL spend as foolishly as you believe they would...

But,

I wasn't talking cash anyway. nikka, I have cash.. I'm not wealthy or rich and probably never will be. education, property.

Get some degrees so we can have access to high paying jobs yet once our kids are born they have to start from scratch.

Why not have a business to pass down to our sons and daughters?

I wouldn't accept reparations even if they were given. I didn't work a single one of those days . How am I going to take someone elses unpaid wages? :ehh:

I hear what you're saying but it's not really supposed to help "you" as much as it's supposed to help the collective "us".

So if they started offering educational stipends to college, etc... I think that would be a great way to administer it.

I feel like African American people should have a Right to the money required for leaving America. Since we were kidnapped and brought by force. It costs Big money to relocate to another country and get started there comfortably. Passport and travel fees, foreign work visa, property, transportation etc. Reparations for me would be a plane ticket to a welltodo african country and enough money to stay on my feet.

If america doesn't want black people thats fine but they brought us here. Wherever black skin is not a crime is where I wanna be. If I had a boy grow up to be gunned down like Trayvon or Mike it'd destroy me. That is way less likely to happen in a place like Botswana or Morocco.
