Long-ish post but this annoyed me when I heard it.
I'm listening to Felger and Mazz (Boston Sports Radio) right now, and the host, Mike Felger, a white half a Jew, said:
I got no use for the race thing. Do that on your own time... I've about had it up to here with Jaylen Brown. I think he stands for the wrong things and I think he may be a bad guy.
Mike Felger always says "do the race thing on your own time. It's too easy," which I understand. When it becomes a problem is when he admonishes Jaylen Brown last week for his [at the time] association with Donda sports. He had no problem making it about race then and telling Jaylen that he should be about human rights and not just "his people"
and not just:
His race. Just when it comes to African Americans. If it's other groups of people or religions, apparently not high on his list. Are you really concerned with social injustice or just injustice to your race? I don't know, I'm beginning to think it's the second thing. Why does he gotta go there? And if you go there, and it's so important to you, injustice, then why don't you stand up for all injustice, as opposed to picking and choosing, which is what it feels like you're doing. Either way, the guy's bugging me.
This is coming from a guy who is now picking and choosing when to talk about race and picking and choosing because he has no use for race when it involves black players talking about black coaches, and is offended when they do. But he has all the time in the day when the same black players don't defend his race and religion. Which one is it, Mikey? You seem to only be concerned with "injustice" to your race and religion. He also wasn't a fan of players kneeling in the NFL and had no issue saying so. He said that they should do that on their own time. Wasn't too concerned with the social justice of other groups of people then.
He was speaking so passionately and with such disgust of Jaylen for being proud that his former coach, a black man, gets to coach again.
All of a sudden, it's how dare you make it about race, Jaylen. Only I can do that and question you, you fukk.
He always called Randy Moss a bad guy. He called Corey Dillon a bad guy. He called other black players bad guys. Now, it's Jaylen Brown's a bad guy. He's not a fan of Aaron Rodgers but he's never said that he's a bad guy. He's always calling black players "the player," but almost always refers to the white players by name.
