They needed to justify something that was “clearly one year suspension worthy” by claiming it was “so egregious that he’d never work in the NBA again”…tf are you rambling about?
The Celtics wanted him gone from the organization but they didn’t want to pay him. That’s what they said from the beginning that they wouldn’t stand in his way from finding other employment which allowed this very scenario to play out.

I think all the hoopla was over the fact that (supposedly) Ime’s affair was not only with a married woman but the husband was plugged in with the front office and a close personal friend of Danny Ainge’s.
That makes it potentially SUPER messy, especially if the husband wanted to make a huge stink about it. More “embarrassing soap opera” than “Sex scandal predator”
