actually it aired on cbc months ago (in canda) already seen all the episodes. It was a joint production between the two, but cbc did most of the work. The guy who wrote the book is cdn, i've met him before.

Unfortunately he's right, just finished watching the Finale, and I read the book.

Butchered the book, I understand there's gonna be some embellishments, and what nots, but the white savior thing, is fujking upsetting.

Please anyone who watched this, please read the book. It really is a great book, and Aminata is one of the greatest fictional characters ever.

This series strayed too much from the book. Wished It would've been done on an indie level, without any corporate influence.
