I think that's where I'm coming out differently the guys I know in the game in NYC, it's more like the hustler subcontract you described. They are filling three tables with girls max and then just circling between four clubs in a night to get the door cover at each one.

If someone wants to buy a table from them they do it and then leave his ass out there with no birds when it's time for the promoter to go to the next stop

to answer your table question, im responsible for a bar minimum, how I achieve that can vary, but table sales easiest way to achieve that, my goal/self responsibility is to sell out 100% tables. sometimes venue sells 10-20% of the tables, but my clientele over the years so large by now and SF clubs only got 10-18 tables, its easy for me to sell majority of them myself. but like any job, we have good nights and bad nights. which is why we hire promoters/hosts in first place to help fill the gaps
