The daughter could really act. I feel she carried the movie. My boy Max found out the hard way :picard:

I came into this movie blind and ended up enjoying it. Made me think on how even worse kidnappings are possibly today.

I gotta go see this one.

Personally didn’t get all the hooplah with this one despite it being my most anticipated film of the year. Ethan Hawke was great as ‘The Grabber’, even if his character didn’t get much screentime and I wish that he did. The two kids who starred acted their tails off and provided a lot of heart in an otherwise chilling story. There are horror elements throughout, but I think folks will enjoy it a lot more for what it is as a thriller. I made the mistake of going in preparing to be super spooked thanks to the marketing and that just wasn’t the case.

I don’t know who greenlighted the closing line of this film, but that shyt was cheesy as hell. :mjlol:

My expectations after Sinister were way too high and now that I look back on it, even that film got kinda ridiculous mid-way. Ghost kids in films just don’t do anything for me. Looked silly in Sinister, and it looked silly here as well.

Apparently Stephen King’s son was the author of the original story it’s based on? I can’t be shocked. The film has a lot of IT-residue. Didn’t hate it, but didn’t love it either.
